Yes it's fixed now.
The soundproblems and the ntdll.dll message are gone. :)

I have just tried all that in Wavelab 4 and the latest one seems to work OK. Other versions were stuttering in it. I don't have a P4 but an Athlon 64 FX-55.

Otherwise only tested in Cantabile 1.2 in which all versions seem to work OK.

Great! :)

The next updates (and my next plugin  ) will take a while since I have loads of work to do for Uni, so I hope you don't mind the somewhat strange metering

I know that you would understand messages in german...translations were not made espacially for you, but for all the other readers of this topic :-)

jep..working here too...great! but: did you use the plugin-ID of an older version? maybe the ID of the last "GUI_less jscomp"? the old one doesn't show up anymore...which is not fatal anyway...

No, I used a new (and unlike the old one, registered) plugin-ID for the version with GUI (but the same one for every version with GUI). Maybe you overwrote the old one with the new dll at some point?

Post

oops...sorry..my fault... inside Wavelab one can have plugins organized in groups ...e.g. Dynamics, EQ, Reverb...and so on, but I accidently never moved the old version into the appropriate Group "Dynamics", but left it in the standard vst-folder...

UPDATE:
-Improved metering

Just FYI: The meters are not 100% exact (but close enough), and they are set so that a -6dBFS sine is displayed as 0dB

Post

First post and thread title updated.

sounds good, but the metering is useless to me. I need something more than a little bouncing line, otherwise leave the meter out. thx!

more than just a line, like this:

Which part of that different metering do you want? The maximum GR display at the top, or a bar instead of a line?

In case 1, in my personal opinion such a readout is utterly useless, but YMMV. If there are other people who want such a readout, I could try adding one.

In case 2, I have to say no, because a line works just as well as a bar IMO and secondly it would not fit the visual style of the rest of the GUI.

If it's anything else, please explain.

Thank you for this nice plugin. There is always room for a compressor. May I have one suggestion though. I assume the readout values are seconds in attack and release. I wonder if it could be possible to have more resolution in small values, like 0-50ms for attack and 0-250ms for release? Currently this range is addressed within couple of pixels only.
cheers

I agree that a little more precision in the lower range would be useful. I might change the mapping from linear to square (or maybe even cubic?) law, which would of course require some relabeling. Don't expect anything in the next three weeks, because I've got exams the next two weeks.

EDIT:
Until then a little tip: Right-click on the knob

glad to see this one being updated...nice lil compressor IMO :)

thx
