well...i've got: acid, live, cubase, fls, and reason. that's too many. going to settle down with just three: acid, live, and cubase. i find acid the best for wav only composition, live the easiest way to integrate wav and midi, and cubase the best for midi only. however, fls8 is the quickest of all of these to initialize and crashes the least when some plugin goes wrong (during either initialization or operation). running everything on an emachine 6811 laptop.
