My cat is about 9 months old and, as yet, is still learning how to trick us humans into what she wants - she is getting far better at it though... :hihi:

Her strangest attribute is being completely oblivious to thunder and the local maroon launched from the lifeboat shed near me (I live on the Norfolk coast). These faze her not one bit.

However, when the dustman comes to pick up our wheelie bins, she cowers under my computer desk until he drives away....

Now figure that one out :!:

Off to listen to the new uploads now... :)

Cheers,
Mouxbar

Wow, love Mac's new track. Takes me right back to listening to early JMJ.

Honestly, with the amount of people who bang on about not having decent ARP emulations from that period - well, you wouldn't guess that this was simple little Felix dishing it out from the cheap seats.

Great work 8)

Cheers,
Mouxbar

Dustmen=garbage men, the other I think we don't have in Italy, so I wouldn't know - maybe those big garbage containers where people throw their garbage sacks...
Anyway, it's true, each cat is more sensitive to some noises than it is to others; I wonder if it could be because of direct experiences, or some kind of genetic memory, or just because they hear in a very different way from us (much better), so a noise that could be nothing special to us, is to them extremely loud or threatening...

 I'm really sorry, I forget that we are an international group and some of the odd things that we have in England don't translate very well around the world.

Indeed a dustman is our name for a garbage/refuse collector and a wheelie bin is, as the name suggests, a large plastic bin on wheels that you put your household waste in for collection.

Would you Adam and Eve it eh? I should coco etc. etc. :help:

Best wishes,
Mouxbar

Collector? I'm more confused! :D At first I thought you were talking of something like this:

In fact my cat is scared by something similar (the machine which wash the road):

But collector makes me think to those people which take things from garbage... Here there are old men which "collect" pieces of iron, wood, plastic from the garbage (I don't know what they use it for, maybe some DIY :D).

Cheers and good weekend to all!

 The dustman is the chap in the yellow bib next to the rubbish truck.

Which is another confusing bit of English. Rubbish truck. Does this mean it's bad :?: :?: :?:

Our American friends score one here for their use of garbage truck. Which is slightly less confusing.... :D

Just count yourself lucky Max - I can't write Italian :hihi:

The perils of language strike again...

Well, actually my ex-brother-in-law was a garbage collector, meaning that he collected non-functioning fridges, broken stoves, beyond-repair motorbikes, oil tanks with holes in 'em, and just about anything that belonged into a dumpyard and brought it here where I live, on my sister's land in a sort of huge barn that had had no other purpose since he stopped keeping animals. Why the f... he did that, nobody knows, I guess he was missing a few marbles...
Thing is, he's now my sister's ex-husband (has been for the past 15 years), but the disgusting dumpyardful of crap he piled up over the years is still here... :(

Sounds like a great place to reinvent as a well stocked wacky instument building workshop! ... might even get a grant from an arts foundation! :hihi:

Bike wheels? motors? .... I can see a giant hurdy-gurdy in the making! :)

I can see getting diseases previously unheard of and getting bitten by giant mtant rats... :?
But the hurdy gurdy sounds like a good idea  :D :D

...On second thoughts, the giant hurdy-gurdy would probably require steel ropes for strings, and operate at a pitch which can only be heard by elephants! .... might still get an arts grant, but if not, then there's always the possibilty that a huge herd of Amorous elephants might come from some far off place and scare off the rats! ...or trash the trash collection... result! :hihi:
