ok.here we go!! after reading this forum for a few weeks i have decided to reply to this.

Welcome. Should we thank you?

Firstly,i have been using cubase sx 3,4,5-protools for 7 years-sonar,logic pro,sony vegas,wavelab 5,6-nuendo,reaper,ableton live etc.etc!!!

So have many of us, including myself.

ALL OF THEIR GUI'S ARE GARBAGE COMPARED TO STUDIO ONE PRO!!

Says who? What is the measuring stick that you use to determine which GUI's suck and which ones rock? Maybe you should rephrase and say that YOU think they are garbage. Others may disagree. Keep in mind that I like the Studio One interface. It's excellent. Better? Depends on your perspective and needs.

I cannot stress enough that most of the qualms with s1 are from people who cannot afford or refuse to buy 3rd party software for their daws!!Thats right i said it!!

So the people who are criticizing Studio One are those who can't afford third party plug-ins? Is that REALLY what you are trying to say? That's the most idiotic thing I've read all day. How do you have any clue what myself or others have for plug-ins? I'll help you with the answer; you have no idea.

we will start with a drum editor.Have you ever heard of superior drummer 2,battery 3,ez player pro,superior drum tracker?.....awesome!!

And your point? Are you aware that we are all aware of these options, and many people, including myself, own at least one of them?

I never depend on any included daw plug-ins ,synths,drum maps,editors etc. including s1 bundled plugins(although i have to say the 64bit hybrid plugins are not bad,the master color is awesome)!!

Ummmm, drum maps aren't a plug-in. It's a feature that S1 is missing. And most of us don't rely on daw bundled plugs either. What's your point?

I never have and never will!they are garbage compared to the highend focused software developed for those specific utilities.On to synths..geez really guys i have to go there ok...buy spectrasonics omnisphere,trilian or trilogy,stylus rmx,prophet v,gladiator,ewql...you get the gist... and stfu.

Do you want a medal? Are you assuming we somehow don't know about or own these things? And why does this matter again? How does this have anything to do with the features of Studio One?

Ummm, I work in radio and have for years. A major nationwide network in fact. Wavelab is not the standard in broadcasting. That's a fact. As for other fields outside of broadcasting, I would challenge you to prove that. You can't.

Ummm, Pro Tools comes on PC as well. And I'm guessing based on your post that you really don't know as much as you think about Pro Tools. I guess I should tell the tens of thousands of people here in Nashville who use it daily that it's crap and isn't worth using because you said so?

I know this is one hell of a post for a newcomer to your forum but lets think about what makes studio one so great besides the completely intuitive and star trek like gui

I hate Star Trek. I do like Studio One though, so we have that going for us.

with its unbelievable workflow and drag and drop functions and second nature like production utilities that i can achieve within seconds as compared to my other daws!

Yeah, some things are faster. Of course, as mentioned and proven already, it is only faster until you reach a feature it doesn't have that the others do that you might need. Then fast workflow means nothing.

but i digress...i really wanted to speak to those guys who know their way around daws and yes that includes you composers(video editors and producers cmon you have know business talking on this thread. studio one does not support video production,go back to your nuendo and sony vegas caves..cracks the whip!!hahahha)
go buy sibelius or any other notation software!!why depend on a bundled program to notate your music?is this a stupid question?

No, it's not a stupid question. But we aren't the ones claiming that Studio One can do everything the other hosts can.
I do use an external program for notation. Have for years and years. Does that mean that notation isn't useful to have in a host for some things? Of course not. But then again, we aren't the ones who made the claims about Studio One being able to do the things other hosts can. I think you must be arguing with yourself.

and for you daw masters that seem to think that yours is the be all end all..i have them all!!i know them inside and out!!!my list of vsti's would make you squirm with jealousy my plugin collection would cause you to spontaneously squeeze fecal matter out of your eye sockets in amazement.presonus got this right dead on the money.dead on. i couldnt be happier!!thank you and god bless!!

Well I must say that's pretty impressive, welcome to KvR I'm sure we all will benefit from you being here. I have to say I consider myself to very committed to my music but when it comes to being committed you win. I mean the amount of time and money to get all the DAWs and of course all those third party pluggins. What are we talking? 20-25K? Then to learn them all inside and out, that takes serious time...I am humbled

hey guys!! just wanted to make a comedic somewhat serious point.
it seemed that so many people were bashing s1 pro that i had to put my own arrogant twist on the subject to nullify the damage done to any potential user of this software.i really do find this daw refreshing in so many ways and i do use presonus hardware so maybe that is a very contributive reason.(links perfect and nice..like a glove)but it seems i got the attention i wanted!!?lets discuss this subject in a more civil manner i will do my part...boy scouts honor!!!

p.s. that post was pretty funny though..wasnt it?

I don't think people were bashing Studio One. They were just addressing claims made by Studio One users about the features they THOUGHT it had, but doesn't. Many people here who were a part of it actually have and use Studio One. Most of us don't dislike it.

FWIW, my pizza is ready. So that's all I got for now.

Its just a piece of software, folks... Mankind was heading for extinction long before it twas ever marketed, and the discs it comes on will be degrading long after mankind is extinct.















Ps. I'm not anywhere close to shelling out the cash for this thing.
