Oh the free Drum Masters kits... still making sure all the settings are there... we went OVERBOARD to please V-Drummers this time and that made it a lot harder to get everything totally in line and updated so we're going through it again and again to make sure all the proper settings are there and then this week - asap- we'll start popping the free updates into your user areas!!!!! THANKS for waiting. It's gonna be fun!

Any news Squids? I start to get a bit worried when you get (too) carried away with adding stuff to new group buys all the time and maybe forgetting us here...

This thread was started in early January. We are now in mid-April. I am not buying another thing from SR until this is delivered. Sorry Squids, I realize these are free updates and you don't have to do that, but I have have been hearing any day now for three months. I know you are working hard and I appreciate what you do, but to be frank, I am wondering if these will ever be delivered. So now I will speak with my wallet. I am sure my little pittance of spending doesn't make that much difference, but I have no other way to express my disappointment at this point.

Please stop promising by such and such a date if you can't deliver. With all due respect, you are looking the boy who cried wolf on this one. Truly best wishes, but I am just tiring of dates coming and going for something I have been looking forward to for a while.

Of course I'll let Squids speak for himself but it might be interesting to know that Drum Masters 2 still haven't been released (still pre-order @ Esoundz.com) so we're not left out. Yet.

Since January we had the Ultimate Studio Drums Group Buys 1 and 2 which kept us quite busy trying to please everyone's requests - particularly e-Drummers. We had to overhaul the whole thing to get it right and there were still minor issues with the complexity of implementing it all and those had to be ironed out. I understand the frustration and we apologize for it taking this long. But, as the update for DM1 owners is free I think it will be well worth the wait. It isn't like you don't have the kits to play with all this time. But the whole point of this was to get everyone more advanced requested features... and that's what we've done.

I won't say it is going to be this week because that is what gets me into trouble so I will just be vague then. The update is coming. I will let you know exactly when it is available. It will coincide with the main release of Drum Masters 2 which was also delayed for the same reasons. I suppose we could have NOT done all of those extra features for e-Drummers like the hi hat CC4 and everything else but then they wouldn't be as happy so... we're doing our best to please everyone with this big step! We appreciate your patience.

I would much prefer the vague, honest answer, than the every two weeks "it will be here" answer. I do recognize that you are trying to create a quality product, and I also recognize that sometimes you just don't know what you don't know.

In addition, I must confess that I had not tied all of this to the release of the complete Drum Masters 2. I probably should have picked up on that. I suggest that maybe we close this off and refer this thread to the Drum Masters 2 release thread. That way you, Squids, don't have to monitor and maintain a thread that is redundant. Perhaps a link to that thread is in order.
