No. Metal was supposed to "ship within 2007", and wasn't released before May 2008.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Metal was on time.

200 bucks is a bit steep for the upgrade. Hopefully esoundz will have it at a better price.
I'll have to wait for the demo, instead of preordering. So we've got a few weeks to wait until that is out.

There may be additional incentives... working on getting any official word and such. Also, keep JamPoints in mind, that should come into play.hibidy wrote:200 bucks is a bit steep for the upgrade. Hopefully esoundz will have it at a better price.

Is the Stomp IO going to be Amplitube 3 soon? Does anybody know?

So is Amplitube 64-bit now? If it is, I will be all over it as soon as it's out!
I see the "x64" in IK's announcement here in KVR, but no mention of 64-bit versions is made anywhere else, not even on the IK and Amplitube websites.
Can you clarify, Pete?
Thanks!

$200 for the AT3 upgrade? even for people that own almost all the powered by amplitube products?

While I am fully behind the call for "more AT titles owned = more upgrade discount", I have to point out here that $200 really isn't so bad when you consider that AmpliTube 3 adds more *new models* in every catagory than either Ampeg SVX or Jimi Hendrix Edition did. So it is like getting an upgrade to the entire line, plus a whole new edition.grymmjack wrote:$200 for the AT3 upgrade? even for people that own almost all the powered by amplitube products?

I think the upgrade price is excellent. It screams, "value for money." Like nothing else I've seen. How many models in Korg, Boss, Digitech, Line 6? You have more stuff in amplitube 3 than several pieces of hardware....
Now ofcourse, you don't have any chips, and all... So, odds and evens, I suppose....
What interests me is, "true to original," feel and expression. I'm curious to see what they are talking about. Plus, geez, look at all those models. Talk about time, to design, guitar tones..... Wowzers...

Man, Amplitube 3 looks awesome, but I guess I will be staying with Guitar Rig 64-bit for now.

I own them all and I'll be first in line to pay my $199. It would seem too steep if they just were adding a few features like drag and drop stomp boxes and upgraded models, but think about it, you're getting all that plus they're doubling the amount of modeled gear. So it's like a version upgrade plus another whole pile of cool stuff.grymmjack wrote:$200 for the AT3 upgrade? even for people that own almost all the powered by amplitube products?

Call me a fanboi, I don't care. I haven't been this excited about a piece of software since... well since I discovered Amplitube SVX.
