Underpowered for what? My iPhone runs every single iPhone application just fine. At the very least, the iPad should perform just as well. I am not seeing much difference between the current iPhne apps and what is being released for the iPad.

Just slightly degraded screen resolution running iPhone apps on iPad from what I've read.

I dont understand what you are responding to from my paragraph.

I just read a review noting that any iPhone app would run on the iPad but only either at native resolution or much larger but with lower resolution. That was all.

and yes, i think it is just a big iPhone and I think thats an awesome idea.

Actually, I believe it's considered a large iTouch as it has no phone capability.

i guess this is apple's attempt to take some of the windows budget laptops, netbooks, kindle market share, i dont know, also another weird thing is there are no usb ports on the ipad, that korg electribe app looks cool though, i wonder if the ipad will be a flop ?
