If you've been in every SampleTank Group Buy we've done on esoundz then this may not be for you... unless you are sure there are titles you never had - even the original Expansion Tank titles some people didn't have and when they went away they were missed so... now they're back and with additional sounds pooled from the Capsules and other sources.

It is important to know thought that these are titles from the "Sonic Vault" - meaning that they are from sounds we've done for SampleTank over the years - some dating back to the beginning and some more recent.

Although I, and others, got the full Xpansion/Capsule library (free, I believe) in an early group buy, a quick look at the sounds list reveals, I think, that the Cinematic and Vocal packages are both new.

The Cinematic, in particular, looks like a taster of the brand new Cinema package on offer.

Am I right about this? If so, that's enough to justify it for me.

The library. XL is the full honkin' library of sounds. Also, anybody who does not have an IK product now has a pretty cheap way to get in on a bunch of Expansion Tanks plus a good crossgrade for XL or other IK products.

So if we already own XL then there's no need to download XT. What about the 1 gig content from XT. Is it content that's already contained in the XL package? This sounds like a cool group buy anyway. Think I'll pick up Cinematic and...........how are the Pianos in the xpansion pack. Better than what's already in XL or Miroslav?

You should pick up the sounds from XT (they will install in the folder you've set for your libraries, but show up in their own little sub-folder/category) as there are sounds in there you don't have and you should also grab XT if you want 2.5.4 as there are some things fixed in there as well as being a "new" release as XT. You can wait, 2.5.4 will be an available download, but XT will simply update your existing 2.5.x install anyway.

I went for 2 guitars libraries. I was kind of hesitating, becouse of LiDi group buy (but I have no Kontakt and use it with SFZ would kill my weak CPU) ... and becouse i bought manyguitar recently ... but I had a lot of jampoints, so for 25 bucks? Why not? If 3x1 reaches, i'll go to orchestra or piano. I have Miroslav CE and NI Akoustik Piano already, so I can't decide ... so which you would recomend me for getting my library bigger?

I'm glad to hear which ones are being picked, and how you like them. I love the Cinematik myself as it fits a lot of the things I do.

As far as "if" it hits 3x1? I think the only question seems to be if it will hit that today We're going to have to figure out how far this one will go. Since there are so many, at least we won't run out of options if it has to go up high like the T-RackS Singles GB did.

There will be sounds in the library that you do not have, for sure. It should also update your installation to the newiest version of SampleTank from what I'm told. Also, you'll end up with gigabytes of sounds from this Group Buy if you get in, as we're looking to hit the 3x1 in record time.
