The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

When my son was a baby, I create this noise/rumble sound and looped it on a CD for 76 minutes at low levels:

Worked a charm on him, better than any other solution we had tried. I was going for a subterranean boiler room kind of sound.

Seriously, you should try that. Make sure you read the help file regarding the Brainwave Synchronizer, it has some excellent info on what you can achieve by combining white noise with other modulating noises.jazztard wrote:Another thing you could try is Cool Edit Pro or Audition, it can generate white noise and has a binaural plugin.
I suffered from insomnia last year and the shareware version of the old CoolEdit96 was a huge help.

it's been almost a month now and I'm still loving this, I would like to tweak it but am afraid to change it

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

I recorded my clean air machine and added "constant wind" from oddity for it's cycles but it's beyond subtle

If you want/need any 'wheezing', post-nasal-drip 'gurgling', or spazmatic 'snorting/grunting', let me know.
