Thanks for your input all! Nice work. It's getting late in ye ole London town...but will be back! Be interested to hear what's the plugin you can't live without?
By the way, also feel free to drop your best track here, it'd be good to hear something new.
Cheers!

Other.
Spectrasonics, U-he, Camel Audio, NI
....does anyone really need to say why for these?
(I understand the rancor that some may have at NI over the Kore droppage. Personally, I never bought into Kore, and if I had, I'd be pissed too. But otherwise, great instruments imo.)
I'd add Reason, but it's not exactly a "plug-in" but is available for Rewire.

Camel Audio, Spectrasonics, D16.
I ticked Fxpansion for this one though.
All these companies have good, responsive customer service, as well as top quality products.
My fave plugs are; Geist, Alchemy, Trillian, Phoscyon.
I have (and love!) Maschine and it has become the central hub of my my workflow, but even though I dont have a problem with N.I. they're big enough to take care of themselves... I always have a soft spot for the smaller "underdog" companies.....
Speaking of which, good luck to you!

I don't have a favorite---there are too many good ones. UAD and NI are among my top picks, though.

Ah thanks, yeah its always good to support the new kid on the block, the smaller companies are often the risk takers and have more niche sounds to use and create.dredd i knight wrote:Camel Audio, Spectrasonics, D16.

Geist and Alchemy are powerful beasts with the potential to create massive sounds.
Good luck with your music!

Yeah I know what you mean about reason, love Kong big time and although NI messed up with kore their recent developments with machine and tractor have improved so many artists/djs live performances.Old Crab wrote:Other.

Using their stuff all the time...
Apart from my DAW and a plugin from others here and there, NI Komplete is pretty much all I need.
not sure if it's our best track, but it's new and gets good reviews and I'm always happy to spam the video link if somebody aks for it .g.SoundSonicTeam wrote:

Nice, a pretty German electro sound with dark guitars, a killer combo!darsho wrote:Native Instruments.SoundSonicTeam wrote: We'd also love to hear about other brands which float your boat. If not listed here please leave a comment. It would be nice to hear your thoughts.

What do you find you use most in NI Komplete? I tend to use Prism and Massive alot.. the only problem with Komplete is that its pretty much limitless and its hard to know when to stop!

This wouldn't exist without Reason:
http://soundcloud.com/dysamoria/dysamor ... e-conquest
This wouldn't exist without FM8:
http://soundcloud.com/dysamoria/dysamor ... me-tonight
This wouldn't exist without Reaktor (I can't remember which ensemble at the moment) & Kontakt:
http://soundcloud.com/dysamoria/dysamor ... nyone-else
... SoloString & String Theory:
http://soundcloud.com/dysamoria/dysamor ... n-a-string
I'm often a preset user & tweaker. Timbres make music in my head spontaneously. I'm trying to learn composition by melody to get out of the situation where I'm dependent on some random sound triggering music in my head, so I can make music more often. Waiting for spontaneous music in my head from browsing presets for hours is not a good working method.

This wouldn't exist without Tassman (it could probably be used as a demo for Tassman):

Yeah i can hear the use of FM8 and the vitual synths in Reaktor. So i guess you use Spacedrone and metaphysical function? that sort of dark ambient thing would work pretty well for you huh?

OK, I'll bite, but with a question. Spectrasonics and NI for me, own all of their stuff. Eric and the Specs team have been helpful above and beyond the call of duty on many occasions. I have never had anything but decent experiences with NI support, and they are more than fair with licence transfers, cross grade prices, product quality and holiday freebies. Anyone remember Carbon as a freebie on Future Musics cover back in about 2005?
Now the question.... You've joined yesterday, and have started a thread which is done weekly here on KVR, and seemingly all of this is merely to promote your new store. You don't have to lurk for long at KVR to see what the favourite brands are... Even a quick topbar search without registering will tell you that.
So, here's the question; are you spamming the forum with a thinly veiled sales pitch, or are you genuinely interested in sticking around KVR for the long haul? Please understand that I have no preconceptions, but if you're just here to promote web-shop hits then you're in the wrong forum - marketplace would be more appropriate - and you'll end up annoying the moderators and Ben, because there are established advertisers who've gained the trust of the forum populace. Having said that, I'd wish you well in your new business, because in the UK it's really only Time and Space that specialise in plugs, and a little competition would be a good thing.
If you genuinely are here for KVR kicks, and intend to contribute beyond those threads intended for your own advertising, then welcome to KVR!
