All the best... catch you all when I've read back a bit and caught up to where everyone is at.

All the best.
Welcome back :) Take a look also at this: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... highlight=

Hope you like bjulin's idea.

Hi Tattie, nice to see you back and joining again. :)

Major change from before is that DAW effects are now allowed, as is a bit of modulation as long as it's a secondary effect like part of a delay etc.

For your information:

There's a legal torrent of Jean-Michel Jarre performing Oxigene available for download on the Hunger City site.

Cool ... like the compilation idea ... with 3 years worth of superb quality, unique tracks to choose from, it should be a blinder :)

Anyway, got Olga sussed, and have a nice solid 'groove' in place to shit all over :) :) ... my kinda synth for sure ... just hope my CPU can match my dastardly intentions ha ha!! :)

Yes, thank you RuediRena! Great show in high quality! :D
Love the calibration and tuning of the machines in the beginning. 8)
I converted the dvd to an m4v file with handbrake's highest quality settings and uploaded it to my dropbox to share with a friend. Figured I'd share the link (1.3 GB) here as well in case anyone would prefer this format for iPad or whatever. I'll leave it up for a week, then I need to clear the space.

Here is my track for OSC 38! After first seeing the synth with it's quirky Russian theme, I couldn't resist recording this track!
:hihi:

Pulse Width Modulation - The Dance of Olga, the Peasant Czarina

-6 Instances of Olga, running on Cubase 6
-3 tracks used Cubase 6's native EQ
-FREEWARE VST PLUGINS: IQ4gui (Compressor/EQ on the final mix)
DX Reverb Light- (on the final mix)

I was really impressed with the synth! Turning up the overdrive with the filter set on bandpass yeilds some very acoustic sounding results!

Track coming along nicely ... looks like I'll def make it by the deadline :)

Cheers for the submissions so far. Not too many yet, maybe Olga was a bit on the tricky side or is it just that time of year maybe?

For me definitely it is, plus the interface was not helping either with the unusual fonts, etc. I did follow your advice and clicked the button to show the Eng labels but still did not motivate much to come up with something. I gave up :-(

Noticed that too. A shame it's a good sounding synth.

Maybe many were disheartened because of Jasinski's bloody amazing track.

There are some of us that have some things in the works, at least...

I had to re-configure my rig last week, and apparently my old Mbox does not like being plugged into a different USB port, because now it won't work and won't install again. I have to find my PT disc again which should be interesting, as it is a victim of "The Cleaning" so I have to dig through all the bins I just got done cramming my junk in to find it. I tried just using the built in audio on the PC, and it's OK for mixing, but impossible to track anything. My limited free time should not be spent re-installing 10 year old USB interfaces! Curse you Digidesign!

I just let the synth tell me where it wanted to go. I spent the first sessions just tweaking around, getting a feel for it, and building presets until it shaped into a good collection of instruments. I had an idea of what I wanted for the composition initially, and luckily it worked, but I knew that the synth itself could very well steer me to a completely different direction. Creatively it can be more fun that way.
