Hello all -- just learned how easy it is to assign position of pick and playing position to controllers -- my life changed forever.
BTW, I'll like to point out, that no other guitar library/vst instrument is giving you these sweet pitch-bend rules...
LOVE it. Greg, you're awesome.

Thanks! I was just using the pitch wheel options today, in order to bend the lower note up without effecting higher notes. That way I can play two notes a half or whole tone apart and bend the lower pitch upward to create one of those cool unison bends.
Here's the demo that uses it (towards the very end of the song):

Also, you can download the lead guitar patch I used here. It uses only the built-in effects in EEG:

Hi Greg,
I've seen all your videos here and read nearly all and I'm very impressed by what I saw.
but one question remains:
Can I play chords (sequenced midi) without the strumming engine and get the up and downstrokes via keynotes or other controlls ie. modweel?
If this is possible I can't see no reason not to buy the Strawberry
Thank you!

You can play chords without the strumming engine, but you'd need to stagger the notes manually if you want to get a more realistic strum sound--the strumming engine does that automatically. Also, you can use the sustain pedal to hold notes, which would really help with sustaining the notes. If you set the pick direction to "8th" or "16th", it will use tempo-synced pick direction, which will handle that aspect, too.badshred wrote:Can I play chords (sequenced midi) without the strumming engine and get the up and downstrokes via keynotes or other controlls ie. modweel?
Of course, you can also automate any of those controls if you want to manually control them in real-time.

As far as I've been able to tell, the Whammy controller from the old patch was just another pitch shifter. You should be able to get the same effect in the new version of Strawberry by setting the pitch wheel Distance knob to an octave (or less, depending on your needs) and using the pitch wheel for your whammy bar.
