I would be very happy if the Juno 1/2 section of Diva would be complemented with the multistage envelope of the Juno 1/2... Or is that request to modest between the various thoughts on Walforf/SEM/Arp/Oberheim emulations.. Oh, excuzes, impersonations
What will be in DIVA: The SEQUAL ??

Well, maybe we should go back to the subject then....

With soooooo many Diva topics, soooo many charming words about that, in such relative short time, Diva is slowly going to be the ultimate synth of the year i think

That's an interesting one. Thing is, we haven't fully understood those envelopes. They seem simple, but then they kind of do odd things. That's why we left them out, but I'll be happy to revisit them.BDeep wrote:Well, maybe we should go back to the subject then....

(also because we recently got a few vintage digital synths for which we might need to have customisable rate/level envelopes)

I used to love the OB8...I had a couple of them back with Noah on the boat...
The bass sounds that you dial up out of those babies were funking beautiful..
A real winner at the bottom end of pop tracks...
And there were a few other useful programs happening too...
The sounds just worked - every single time..
So a little OB courtesy of Mr Curtis CEM wouldn't be a bad move

Sorry ladies and gentlemen for this emotional breakout.
I promise to balance it with at least one more very un-emotional posting. Sometime.

why is levzi even reading and posting in a thread he hates?
YES, this area is called "INSTRUMENTS" not "only a certain subset of instruments". I don't surf any other sections here because I don't have time and I am interested in a VARIETY of instruments, not just one. diva is popular at the moment, so what? I've seen TONS of posts about sylenth, dune, heck even synth1, again, so what?
This area is about ALL instruments.
Looking at how Diva covers about 8 or so, I thought it would be interesting to speculate what Diva2 could cover - should U-HE decide to do go that route. Or by adding dropins or whatever.
Lets get back to speculating for fun.
SEM, ARP, Obie oh my! Would be cool.
Frankly, I hope Diva gets other company's to step up their game. Waiting for the knock offs to come out and they might even be great.

I guess stuff like that would fit better into Bazille/Berlin Modular. Bazille even already has PD oscsSendy wrote:An oscillator that can swing from ramp > triangle > saw can make some very delicate tones, but I don't think an analogue synth is really out there that does that (though oddly, there are LFO's that CAN (MS-20... etc) ... I always feel sad when LFO's get more waveshaping options than the actually oscillators you HEAR!). So I don't know how that'd fit into the Diva format.
Also, I'd love to be able to do PWM/symmetry modulation on those DCO waves - especially the combed sub waves.
Another idea - any oscillator model from a synth that has both sync AND ringmod, so I can make windowed sync sweeps. (Either that, or an oscillator model based on a synth that made windowed sync, did this ever happen on an analog synth?).
Phase distortion oscillators.

That would be almost too much imo. I'd prefer a very simple WT osc with a knob to select the table and a knob to scroll through the table (modulatable of course)pdxindy wrote:How about 1 Zebra osc (mono version)Bronto Scorpio wrote:I'd still love to have a simple wavetable osc in Diva

Maybe with a lofi option

Hey, what about Bazille!Urs wrote:Really? That's an AMAZING idea.braj wrote:Yes well Urs maybe you need to run a contest leading up to you next release, and reveal little detail a bit at a timeSo one thread could last three months. It HAS been done before
Let's start with a poll about feature requests for Diva, shall we? And another one for Zebra, ACE, Uhbik.
And we shouldn't forget to mention all 10/10s that we got in reviews. A thread each.

There happened to be 3 threads yesterday... Looking back over the latest 10 pages in the instruments forum (about 3 weeks), there are 6 threads with Diva in the name and also 6 threads with Omnisphere in the name. I assume you must be complaining about Omnisphere too then yes? And let's see, there are 3 threads on the front page with Sylenth in the title right now. You must be complaining about that too right? Oh, and going back 10 pages there are 8 threads with Sylenth in the name to the 6 with Diva. You must be even more upset about those Sylenth minions!LeVzi wrote:
There were three threads one after the other all with DIVA in the title yesterday, now you tell me that's not excessive. You may only make 1 post now and again, it's the minions that can't help themselves. What's the point in sub forums if everything is going to end up in here first ?
And of course if you looked at the u-he sub-forum, you would see that in the same time frame there were 27 threads with the name Diva in the title. Likely other threads about Diva but not with the name in the title. The u-he sub-forum is busy!
So obviously not everything ends up in here as you claim. In fact only a small percentage.
Your arguments are false or wildly exaggerated... driven by your negative attitude towards u-he... Your assertions are highly biased and unreliable.

That is because Tone2 compared Saurus to Diva in their own promotions and claimed it sounded just as good but with much less CPU. You are really deceptive in your claims.LeVzi wrote:You seem to forget, that the Saurus thread ended up in a big advert for DIVA
And I guess that Tone2 is not unhappy with that thread and that all that attention likely sold more copies of Saurus for them.

Seconded. Would love to have Urs work his Diva magic on those. Especially the 303's filter.
