I just got the full Ableton Suite 8 download license from Ebay at the lowest price I've seen:
http://www.cafr.ebay.ca/itm/28102884371 ... 1497.l2649
I received the serial within less than 1 hour and registered successfully on the Ableton website with the free upgrade to Suite 9 included!

I paid quite a bit for mine because I didn't want to wait (basically 600 usd at GC) but that is the boxed which apparently comes with a few more things. I don't remember anymore, all I know is there is enough there to keep me occupied well before 9 ever comes out

Yeah probably most of the loops I would never use, probably uninstall anyway. But I want the instruments and Max. Only thing with the box is it is only like $50 more I think to get all that content. It all depends on my fundraising efforts I guess, and the date the sale price is over whether I get the box or not. Can you later buy the boxed content?

There isnt much sense in getting the boxed content since with live 9 its all phased out anyway I believe. They are moving to including all the orchestral stuff inside suite and downloadable along with session drums being included as well

I wouldnt really say you overpaid as long as you got something out of it in the meantime. If someone didnt care about that stuff though or never used it, then maybe
Id definitely suggest to try getting in on the beta, they open up slots every thursday morning around 5-6am usa eastern time. Its pretty easy to get into, just jump on the beta page and it gets added to your account when they have slots open
The audio-midi is just awesome fun, plus the new midi editing is really nice, been waiting for that along with relative+absolute envelopes

it is a great tip, thanks Ryan. Although, it does seem very cheap, it is legit right? Maybe it's just me being paranoia.kovacs wrote:Thanks a lot for this tip! I wish i had seen this deal before I started my little adventure :/ maybe i shoud try and buy a license from this guy instead of upgrading my license, then sell the extra license later.

I checked the feedback of the seller on Ebay before buying, and there was a couple of positive feedbacks about the same product, so I decided to buy. It must be legit, since I registered it on my Ableton account without any problem. With my Suite 8 download registration, I have the following comment: "Includes free Live 9 Suite (Upgrade)".
Since I got the free Live 8 Lite from the Soundcloud promotion a couple of months ago, I was looking for the upgrade to Suite 8 from Live Lite, but I found the best price on the web for the full Suite instead!
The box version has 40 GB of sounds, compared to 3 GB with the download version, but when version 9 will be released, the download version will have the same amount of sounds than the box version (50 GB!). For that price, I can wait to get the rest of the sounds later...

Yes, it's legit. Serial number arrived within a few hours, registered alright with Ableton. A few hours after that I got an e-mail from Ableton with information about getting my Live 9 upgrade when it comes out.
