When do you have posted it already, sorry for that, if not maybe it's become a better deal with this

"Owners of MASCHINE 1.x who register KOMPLETE 10, KOMPLETE 10 ULTIMATE or a KOMPLETE KONTROL S-Series also get a free MASCHINE 2.2 download."

So you get Maschine update from 1.0 worth 99 Euro in the Komplete 10 also ;)

Here's a few observations:

Intakt, when discontinued, all the functionality moved either to Kontakt or Battery. And, AFAIK, all the old libaries that used Intakt still open up in Kontakt. At least, what I've seen from some of the very old packages that I have picked up in the past. It may be true that most of the functionality went into Maschine eventually, but it was Kontakt and Battery that was the official replacements for Intakt.

Also, you don't mention Komplete Elements. You should probably mention that product as well in order to be, err... Komplete. :)

This is such a great tool, thanks again :tu:

...in your spread sheet about the history of Komplete you mention that owners of Komplete 2 had been given a free update for Absynth and Battery. This is not correct. Owners of Komplete 2 were given the opportunity to buy Komplete Care (for about 200-250, I think), which was an update plan. The respective updates were automatically sent to you, once they were released. Komplete Care had five updates, as far as I remember - Kontakt 2, Reaktor 5, Battery 2, B4 II and Absynth 3. I think it must have been these instruments, because I never had Komplete 3, but I bought Komplete Care and I had these versions...

My comments were based on this report from December 2004.
Native Instruments on Thursday announced that its NI Komplete 2 bundle of digital instruments now includes the drum sampler Battery 2 and the synthesizer collection Absynth 3. Battery 2 features a 3.5GB library of drum tracks and offers a user interface that has been upgraded from the one found in the first Battery release. Absynth 3, which was recently released, includes 256 new presets, bringing the total in the collection to over 1,000, as well as an improved user interface, real-time fractalization and more.

Battery 2 and Absynth 3 aren't included on the discs in the NI Komplete 2 package, but they can be downloaded for free after the purchased bundle has been authorized. PDF manuals for both are included on the installation disc, however, and you can order hard copies for US$19 each, plus shipping. NI Komplete 2 is US$1,149 and also comes with Reaktor 4, B4 Organ, FM7, Pro-53, Kontakt 1.5, Kompakt, Intakt, Vokator, NI-Spektral Delay and various sample libraries.

I use K10u. This new version is dissapointing me. First time I will not upgrade. New Massive, Fm8, K6 and GR6 are missing. Maybe I'm going to buy new Reaktor.

At all: Waiting for K12 :)
