as irion said it's also on his site: "Once your donation is accepted you will receive an Email with instructions and the FMDRIVE VST software within two days max."
Whoever wants music instead of noise, joy instead of pleasure, soul instead of gold, creative work instead of business, passion instead of foolery, finds no home in this trivial world of ours.

[quote="zeep"]Maybe i'm butchering the legacy of this device, but can't the presets load with everything turned on? Maybe as an option?
Anyway, it's to the manual i go.
Actually, they do
You just have to turn on the 3 others operator only if you load a tfi from the init state, and just have to do it once by the way.
Once they are turn on, they remain on until you manually turn them off.
This on off state could be use a sound design option if you automate the process on modulators, kind of hard amplitude modulation...

Bought in an instant !
Who is behind the GenMDM @ http://www.little-scale.com/ ?
I would defintely hook my MegaDrive up to FMDRIVE with this unit ! My Commodore could use a new Japanese friend to keep him company.
Also, what is the story on the Linndrum vst !? Is the intention to emulate all the nuances of the hardware such as timing, amp, d-a conversion etc ?
If so, i'd buy this in an instant aswell !

I received my personal copy of FMDrive today and have already taken it to the studio for a test "drive".
That's what came out: A rather simple chiptune-y track using about ten instances of FMDrive in Ableton Live 9. Everything you hear is FMDrive and Live's built-in effects.
Beware: The following tune contains utter cheesy-ness!

Got my copy today - and wow ! I love it.
It sounds great and has all that character that i love. The game TFI files are a fantastic bonus (Aliens 3 yum!). I feel like i just got my first MegaDrive.
Which reminds me ^ the giant MegaDrive gui looks amazing but i think we're gonna need an optional straight forward layout version, with everything laid out on one page if possible - this thing allows me to get creative real quick sonically (no pun intended) and i feel the current gui is in the way.
This is my favourite new toy. I look forward to the rest of the projects on your site.

A little bug in this i guess..
The TFI browser doesn't work reliably on other than drive C.
I get into wrong folders when clicking them. More precisely i get into the folder on top of the one i selected. Prob an indexing issue.
Some more oddities and flickering on it.
Anyone else having issues with the browser?

I can only browse a limited number of folders
And loading TFIs gives silent patches

Genmdm units are created and handmade in Australia one by one by hand by Little-Scale (Seb Tomczak).FeelingMachine wrote:Bought in an instant !

They are not available again ATM and the delivery process could be long (round 6months). Maybe this will become open source someday. For now your best option is to follow littlescale's blog for another round of preorder to come.
For the Vlinn , The only thing I am not sure atm is if the internal LM-1 sequencer will be at the party or not...more on that soon

Yes I got those indexing issues sometimes too, however it only seems to happen once choosing a folder next after C: , if you go down again the -1 index is gone...mkdr wrote:A little bug in this i guess..

Best way to work with the gui browser is:
Keep file names and path short. (my tfipack folder is in C:\tfi )
Use the left slider scroller to browse all the folders, using only the right scrollbar is more precise but only indexes smaller data.
Gui browser is useful for autoload quick patch however clicking on the OPEN button (on the game pad) will open windows standard internal explorer browser...
solves all of the above

Some tfi patches seems to have been extracted with TL level to 127 (minimum volume), i have found some ..not much
Still try to convert them again with the converter I provide for free. Some of them have been extracted prior this one.

Yep. That's the first thing i did as a quick fix.Aly James wrote: Keep file names and path short.
Any plans on fixing the browser issues?
All in all this seems to be a nice tool.
Gotta read the manual to make some own sounds with this

Using fmdrive as a simple tfi loader would used 40% of the real power..
Also if you are a beginner in FM synthesis (this is for everyone reading this not especially you ^^) I suggest to learn the basics first (there is a lot of resources on the net, just google 'em).
I will make proper video tutorials as soon as I find some time
