I tried it on a fresh install of Alchemy Mobile and the Pro Upgrade had the demo projects. But my already-installed app is still not showing there is a latest/updated Pro Upgrade. I can delete and reinstall everything but it's a lot of projects/libraries to reinstall which I just did going from the beta to the final. Though I'm not in any particular hurry to get the demos.

Thanks for the earlier information about drum kits. That's a nice idea.

After doing a clean install, the Pro Upgrade download should be the correct one with the additional 8 projects.

Andy.

Thanks for the updated Pro. It worked successfully on a brand new install. I'm just hoping I don't have to delete my current install to get it. Maybe I need to do that. I have everything backed up (projects/presets/samples), but I just went through this process a few days ago and had some minor issues I had to figure out and resolve.

I love this synth, I can seriously get lost for hours in this one. I've bought all the IAP packs and they are all just amazing. Are there any more coming in a near future? :help:

Btw, do I need to reinstall the whole thing to get the extra demo songs?

Same here. I equate it to the 90's/00's of the internet where the big concept was user stickiness. Keeping a user on your site. I feel this new version of Alchemy keeps me in the app for longer periods. I have fewer reasons to leave it now.

I am getting the sense this is what we need to do. I did a brand new install on a separate iPad and it loaded the latest Pro file. But I am not seeing an 'update' for the Pro in my currently installed app.

I have a few of them myself, all of which are excellent. I originally wasn't interested in using arps, but in the last few months I find myself using them quite a bit so might pick up the Arps IAP. Wasn't initially interested in Dream Voices, but am starting to hear some really great sounds from it. It's really impressing me, so am thinking of getting this one, too. My tastes change and what I'm looking for changes. And the new Himalaya Vintage is pretty much a for sure purchase.

Here is a very good video going over some of the new V2 stuff as well as scrolling through some of the sound libraries.

On both iPads, all of my mobile sound libraries have an 'update' text on them and when I go into that library
The reason I asked about the beta is because this was happening to me as well, but not after installing the update. However, I've since deleted / reinstalled the app several times so it's difficult to say what's going on.

AFAIK, regular users have not reported this problem, and as already mentioned those sound libs have not been updated. If anyone else notices this please let us know.

Peace,
Andy.
I also see the update text. Latest iPad, latest iPod touch.

Pretty fantastic release for Alchemy. Great job and thanks, ya'll!
I downloaded all the "updates" anyway. I own all the available inn-app purchases, so this took awhile for both devices.

Having read that a fresh install of Alchemy would gain me the missing demo songs, I deleted (gulp) the app and restarted my iPad. I re-installed Alchemy and opened it only to find that all the iap banks were not listed. Neither was the pro option. I figured, what the heck, sign out of my account and sign back in. No joy. Username name and password not recognized.

About this time I'm thinking, "I've always been kind to the few camels I've met, why is this happening?"

So I go to the Camel website and see the following message. "Sorry but we are experiencing a very high load on our web server at the moment. We're really sorry for the inconvenience and would ask you to check back in a few hours."

Could this be why no banks show up? I tried to restore previous purchases (the only button available besides the factory button) before I signed out of my account, but, again, no joy.

Post

@ chris1a - early next week I will prepare a file to download and install containing only the missing projects, and post a link. I would do it now, but just getting ready to go away for a few days.

@ bobsled - the Camel website is working OK here, not sure what would be causing that. Yes there could be exceptionally high load if lots of people are updating the app, but it seems unlikely as the load would be minimal.

"Restore previous purchases" is the correct thing to do, by the way. As long as the device remains logged in to the same app store account you won't lose anything.

In these circumstances waiting a few hour swill usually clear things up, but there's no harm from trying again in the mean time.

Peace,
Andy.

Am I the only one to think that the pitch bend sliding implementation is a bit strange? IMO it should only bind when you slide from one note to the other with some center threshold. Here it bends even when you touch a key resulting into some random pitch bend fx, animoog does a better job.

The background rendering is a nice idea, but not very convencing so far, crackles on loop start/end, wierdness when switching back to midi, also it can be a very long wait, an optional manual fast rendering would be nice.
edit: oops, just realized I could make a quick render by clicking the slot tabs, my bad.

Also it wouldn't hurt that the sliders, especially the vertical ones, have some more precision, why not use the whole screen for adjustments ?

I'm also a bit disapointed by the turn Alchemy mobile is taking, I would have preferred something closer to the real thing with much more tweaking options. I never did a lot of tweaking on most off my vst(i) plugs, but I find the tablets really good for this when the ui is well done.

Sorry to be a bit on the negative side, it's still a really cool rompler, but as I'm going away from my plugs and hardware I would love to see them on this platform. I have more fun with my six ipads than I ever had with all my other gear, soft or hw, not perfect but getting closer almost every day :)

Is there a way to bounce down at all like there was in the old one?

@mbncp....making pitchbend and sliders easier - I've added these to the feature request list.

To bounce a song to a single track:
- Go to Menu/Song/Copy
- Select the track you want to paste into
- Got to Menu/Track/Paste

To bounce only a few tracks, mute the parts you don't want.

To bounce a just single track:
- Go to Menu/Track/Copy
- Select the track you want to paste into
- Got to Menu/Track/Paste

Thanks, for the explanation :)
