Audiodeluxe also has a decent price for new commers and not just upgraders. I paid $190 for Nectar Production Suite wich is almost $30 off the already low intro price of $219. One might get lucky and get it at a price a little lower than me since $190 was a offer submitted by me and not Audiodeluxe's confirmed lowest price. I bought Ozone 5 Advanced from Audiodelux at a great price and decided to give them a shot with Nectar as well and got satisfactory results.

Audiodeluxe.com has Nectar 2 production suite once added to cart for $184.99. That's new full product not an upgrade.

Plugindiscounts.com has Nectar 2 production suite for $184.49. That's new full product not an upgrade.

unless your upgrade price is below those two prices one might want to just buy a new license to save a few bucks and maybe sell of the Nectar Elements or Nectar v1.

I tried it out. Didnt get as much time as I wanted to play with it, but I thought their harmonizer element was pretty cool

I figured the lowest price for Nectar Production Suite might be $180 or $185. Thanks for posting!

On another note, it seems Nectar 2 won "Best of show" at AES 135 . Here's a Quote from part of the Article:

"This year at AES, Nectar 2 impressed PSN with its EMT 140-modeled plate reverb, MIDI-controllable Harmony module, dedicated Pitch Editor and Breath Control plug-ins, and more."

VERY COOL NEWS (for the logic X/9 users among us); i think my torturi I MEAN communication with izotope paid off... am testing a logic-friendly beta of nectar 2 now (with midi-controlled harmonizer enabled!).

impressive, someone thought this was a worthwhile thing to implement...

I watched the demos / above listed tutorial and downloaded the Nectar 2 demo.

I'm not a vocalist and only occassionally record vocals in my home studio. I recently got Nectar Essentials with Sound Forge 11. I thought it was a nice tool. Nectar 2 upped the ante and blew me away -- very impressed and a huge step forward from version 1 Essentials.

Although I have many high quality VST tools at my disposal to achieve these results, having a dedicated vocal channel strip with this many quality presets helps me quickly create polished vocal timbres that would take me much longer using individual pluggins. It adds variety from my standard approach to vocal processing, I'm finding timbres for tracks I wouldn't have discovered as a fit -- many I wouldn't even know how to create. What's best is Nectar has so many presets to quickly audition -- methodically organized and useful.

The interface is very intuitive. Very easy to activate a processor in the chain and jump to the edit page or to solo the processor. I never found myself guessing.

Nectar 2's new plate reverb sounds great and can be an instant winner with most tracks. I would be happy using Nectar 2's if it were my only vocal reverb -- it's smooth and a wonderful plate emulation. Want to use your own reverb? Find the Nectar 2 preset then one click deactivate the reverb and add your own reverb in your DAW insert or sends. With owning so many other great reverbs, I would expect to use Nectar's reverb 20-30% of the time. But even when using other reverbs, the built in reverb is nice to hear as a first default while working on the track and may end up being the choice for the final mix.

The new Harmonizer was easy to set up -- it can autodetect the song's key -- offering several key suggestions it detects or allow you to enter your own info. The individual harmonies can be indepedently panned,have independent levels, slight pitch detune and delay attack point -- there's also a filter curve for harmonies. I also tried the MIDI keyboard harmonizer -- setup worked easily.

Do I need this? I could achieve the results by creating a long chain from my current tools. But Nectar 2 offers so much to INSTANTLY create a perfected vocal sound -- and in many varieties of that perfection to cherry pick the right one for the track. This is a worthwhile tool I want to have in my system. I'm certain it will become my "go to" vocal tool.

Just wantd to say something, with izotope go buy the product as is and don't expect changes. I am only saying this in case some logic users jump on the sale price thinking they will eventually just fix it.(or add the details to their page that the harmoniser will not midi in logic, very very cheeky of them, they list logic as a compatible host).

They won't change it and that's the way they are. I have begged them on hands and knees for stuff in the past that made total sense and no matter what, it was a no, and the amount of time they sent telling me no could have been used to fix the feature LOL.

Just sayin... I love their products a much as the next guy.. I use trash2 and rx2 daily, and I will test the harmoniser in cubase 7 and see what sort of results I can get, but if I was a logic user only still I'd not buy it on principle. The is nothing wrong with logic, that's a massive design flaw of their plugin that is arbitrary to fix. In fact I've seen people fix and add this feature literally overnight in other plugins. But when they say no, they mean no, sadly.

I am very happy it was mentioned here, as I would have gone ballistic had I jumped on it not thinking of demoing (which lets face it don't we sometimes all do occasionally when we trust a product?)

This is 100% true. Anyone who is thinking about a current or future Izotope product should assume that it will pretty much never be updated, least of all in the features dept. Take Stutter Edit. Years later and the parameters are still not automatable in your DAW. I guarantee they never will be.

N2 is at 2.0.1 NOW, and supports logic (X and 9); you create a software track, make N2 the instrument. sidechain your vocal track to it (i then turn off the send on the audio track, so it is ONLY going thru the sidechain into N2).

works the same way as stutter edit (which my engineer is addicted to).

the sound is great, and midi-controlled harmonies work well (one of my favorite things to overuse!).

There was a update to Nectar 2 on November 25th that added fixes and further enhancements. Link and more info below:
