Sorry you feel that bringing such a low preorder price without the need to use JamPoints so offensive. Personally I would have just put it at $99.99+30% and allowed JamPoints because I expected this to be the exact anti-IK sentiment when I heard we'd offer a preorder special at such a low cost while leaving JamPoints available for other things...

Actually it seems very reasonable that some customers would be upset about not being able to use jampoints. The JamPoints accumulate like you'd expect for loyal customers, so finding out that you can't use them on the preorder, but you can use them on the introductory order could definitely and understandably be a frustrating experience. Nothing Anti-IK about it (although I'm sure you run into that as well).

I'm sure level heads can understand the price breaks vs deepened discounts using JamPoints and it is common practice after all to not accept coupons during blowout sales, but this *seems* arbitrary in choosing when or when not to apply jam points (at least it does to customers).

And yes... you do spin. It is in part your job to do so, and you have all my respect in that regard as you do so quickly, very well worded and often under fire from multiple individuals. That's a talent, and if you don't already work for a politician maybe you should come election season (but of course politics is not the lovely playground that music making is).

That was information I was given. Stuff happened outside of my control and the date changed for SampleTank 3. I think we've moved forward from that by now. JamPoints have been usable in every promo since the change, except this preorder which I've explained many times (again, would you have rather we used a price +30% and allowed them? Same end pricing anyway) and they will be usable in the next promotion of the Introductory pricing for SampleTank 3. Thanks for allowing me to clarify that again.

Correct, politics is about the furthest from "lovely" than anybody could ever imagine (or at least I think so) so there's not a lot of interest there.

I just feel that whenever somebody is starting a thread about IK products, you go in here trying to take it over.

As "Peter - IK Multimedia" I'm pretty sure it is clearly worn upon my sleeve that I represent a company and that I'll participate in conversations about said company. As for my history in any audio community and/or my background and experience, maybe one of my personal friends here more aware than you can clarify but as "Peter - IK Multimedia" I don't owe it to you to do so.

That said, for everybody else: While the pricing here should be pretty clear http://www.ikmultimedia.com/news/?item_id=4109 and states JamPoints cannot be used during preorder, it may not be clear there that you can use them during Introductory pricing based on questions I've seen. So, I am happy to point out that they will be usable on Introductory pricing which is in effect once SampleTank 3 is released (and can be used for up to 30% of the price). If there are more questions about that, and you feel this thread isn't the place to ask or get them answered, my PM box has some space so feel free to contact me.

Amazing. How many companies WITHOUT loyalty programs do you buy from without a second thought?

It's nice that they give you a little back. But the truth is, their retailers often offer even bigger discounts, so everyone wins.
