Greetings all tribes
I am back. The guards put in me house arrest due to some cultural barriers with regard to the recognition and appreciation of Viking humour.
Well...it is easy to forget that not all have roots in a culture where getting your skull cracked a little could be a friggin joke.

I enjoyed all of your contributions a lot. Great that Portugal, Finland and England are onboard with nice (and highly entertaining Finnish) contributions. We are moving away from electro but are still in a lovely mix between modern and roots.

@Numanoid. Thanks for putting The Land of Milk and Honey on the map with something relevant. It is like a wonderful piece of film music besides from being a very unusual and interesting cultural mix.

@Liv.Fever Ray is yummi.

@Xoxox. Nice emulations. There are a few passages where the flute reveals itself but otherwise it works pretty well. Very nice mood caputured there btw.

I also found this independent artist. A well done home studio production.

Anyway you have all inspired me. I spent the house arrest to make some percussion and drum kits on my MC909. I am tweaking them to resemble some medieval sounds. Working on a rhythm now. If it all end up in something I like, I will post it.

Hail

Felt like bumping this thread with this one:

And this classic with my beloved Sorten Muld

It is about a farmer who has everything he could wish for, 4 sons and 2 daughters. But at night an elven girl who lives in the river enters his dreams. Filled with longings he rides out in the morning to find her but the horse slips and they fall into the river never to be seen again.

It’s the dark beauty of Northern mythology at its best.
