It's not throttling issues or anything, cause the cpu is only at 45 degrees when it happens (that's peanuts for a haswell mobile chip).

i love logic i really do, and i KNOW that when they add gain handles PHYSICALLY on the clips, PDC compensated AUTOMATION, and friggin straight vertical line draw automation (as in a hard vertical snap like EVERY other DAW.. with logic if you go even one tick over it fudges everything rather than stopping.. and it's TOO easy to go one tick over with a mouse) - i won't even OPEN another daw again. But those things are really bugbears for me. When you have 20 uad chips and rely on them HEAVILY, trust me, automation in logic is NOT fun. It's painful.
You "fall back" on Cubase then?
