Anyways, just dropping a quick idea here... would it be possible to have the clipping threshold to show in the Time mode? It would make the Drive adjustment much faster as you'd immediately see when you begin shaving off the peaks.

Cheers!
That's a great idea. bManic and I also had some ideas to expand the functionality of the Clipper Drive so that it follows the limiter threshold by an adjustable offset. Hopefully some of these additions will occur in a 1.x update :)

Pricing.

Until Feb 25th: £120. ~ $172 ~ €159

DMG Audio family discounts reduce it by 5% per product up to 20%,
so min cost is £96 ~ $137 ~ €127.

Next month, RRP: £149.99 ~ $214 ~ €198 (or £120 ~ $172 ~ €159 for DMG Audio family).

Hehe, did you try to get a demo before launch?
I've put a warning up now to show that it's not out yet ;)

it didn't state it was "before launch" until you changed the download page ;)
I expected it to be downloadable when it appeared on the front page. so I tried, but the links were unusable. really expecting this, I am. was about to buy something else any minute now until you came up with that announcement. now I have to demo this first...

And yet you spend serious dollar on UAD?

I think the price is very competitive actually, and in line with FF. Fook, L3 is the only other true multiband limiter, sounds like arse, and is $261 in Audio Deluxe right now, even with $88 off! I can make more than enough profit in one day of mastering to afford this plugin and it negates the need for at least three of my existing plugins which totalled more than it's askng price.

Maybe you don't need it ;)

Theo, no offense, I like you and all and find your presence on these forums very positive, but I can't help but point out that you were recently making the case that the Empircal Labs Distressor plugin would totally be worth $499 if it replaced the hardware. This was before the pricing was announced (which we now know will be under $200) and all we knew was that it would be expensive. At the time, a few people pointed out that $500 for a single plugin compressor was ridiculous and that you may have let your excitement get the best of you, but you were pretty adamant in defending the idea that it would be worth it for a Distressor plugin.

Now, I'm having a hard time reconciling how you can you argue that $500 is a good price for a software Distressor, but $172 is too high and completely unrealistic for any plugin in 2016? Or has time brought you back down to Earth about what a good price would be for a Distressor plugin? I'm very curious how those two very different opinions on plugin pricing can come from the same person.

Last time I was in Australia at the start of 2014, it was the equivalent of £5 for a loaf of bread! Over 20 bucks for a pack of smokes too! The recession that hit the USD, GBP and Euro didn't hit you guys and you had it pretty good for a while when buying in one of these currencies.

Unfortunately things have normalised and the Pound is very strong against the Aussie dollar at the moment. While I sympathise (I've offered a discount recently to Aussie clients because I know it's tough), it is still necessary to survive here and the UK is bloody expensive! What currency do you expect a UK business to set their prices in?!

Swings and roundabouts really. :)

if they are pros they can write off plugin purchases against their taxes as business expenses, so I'm not sure why they are professing this '$149 for a plugin max' ceiling ... seems like an arbitrary limitation anyway.

Edited my post for clarity. The prices go up Feb 25th. There's 30days of early-adopter discount.
