a : who am i / what have i done ...

I was born in 1972 in Milan, north of Italy, then moved to Monza 1976 (famous for F1 racings...)
I started learning music when I was 12 (1984). My oparents bought me a classical guitar and I took lessons for two years. Then I quitted lessons 'cos I wanted to play acoustic guitar and electric.
My first girlfriednd was at 14, a bautifule girl, the second one was even more beautiful
1988 (a VERY important year): i met the girl who eventually became my wife, and I started my firts band, we played a good mixture between hard rock, rap, reggae, any kind of music (a la Living Colour, but less talented...)We made a lot of concerts, we won a local comeptition and recorded a track on an album...we even went to Muchen Germany to play a gig...and then nearly got signed by an independant but important Italian record label.
Then the band broke up...in 1995-96...
after that I sang for many years in a Choir www.coroanthem.it and had musical experiences with ex-members of my band and other people
1992: I studied philosophy at the univeristy, graduated in 1998
1997: bought a new computer (a Pentium 200, with Logic, audiowerk and so on...It was (partially) a gift from my nanny
1997-99 I had my "Frank Zappa" period...during the same years I started listening and making some electronic music

b : what do i do at the moment ...

Now I work for www.pipeline.it, a Microsoft partner for Education, I collect Synths www.autodafe.net and I'm divorcing from my wife...

c : what is my goal in life ...

d : i am interested in ...

who am i?
a detainee of the physical world. lived in 4 different countries (6 if you count w.m. apache nation and the arcosanti arcology) raised in a decidedly cosmopolitan fashion. birthname means "hymn of destruction," which is all cool because i bitterly weep for the sad state of humanity.

what have i done?
avoided institutional patterning like the plague, written a program that wrote pop songs, discovered that "an objective world of contents of thoughts" can be found by observation, however my telepathy (in the convention sense.. and there is a convention) is truncated because the states of many people are not pleasant to me. i have respect for others, which does not include the endorsement of paving over their homes or finding tasty ways to prepare their bodies as food, et al.

what is my quest?
to see you all become a little more conscientious and a little less susceptible to those who seek to control others for their own benefit. "matrix is cool" matrix is scientologists. to increase your sense of ability, but not your appetite for such. or to destroy you by the fact of my passing.

what is my favourite colour?
robots that are burning in hell. and aquamarine.

I was born in 1972 in the industrial heartland that is Bradford. Spent my early years playing marbles and learning the trumpet. Sung in choirs, played trumpet in brass bands, then joined a Macc-lads type band with my school mates. Thanks to the Stone Roses we tried to become more serious, learnt guitar and bass, played some gigs and went to Uni in Hull (for a year, drugs and drink had their usual effect). Played more gigs and dj'ed for a while until the band split. Met my current girlfriend in '96, got a new job and a computer and got into electronic music.

I currently work as an analyst programmer in Dewsbury, but obviously yearn for the album, New Zealand etc etc etc. It would be rather nice to make music as a living. Thinking seriously about moving to Ibiza, but not San An.

I love beer, vodka, absinth (the drink), Marolboro Lights, Leeds United, my girlfriend, obviously music, tolerance of others' beliefs/morals, comedy, beer and cunnilingus.

OK, I'm 29, born in South London, grew up in Scotland. Went to Uni down south again (studying Maths and Philosophy), went off to work in the Philippines for a couple of years (because I am one of those nauseating born-again happy-clappy Christians <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="redface.gif" /> ) where I met the wife where we DJ'd on a radio show together, now programming computers in a bank and running the band at church. I've been writing stuff since I was 14, had my first 4-track when I was 16, then 8-track on cassette and finally Cubase in April this year when the wife took our baby of to visit her family in India for a month - so much time to kill, so much creativity, such an awful soundcard, almost no results! Finally now I have a Delta1010 and everything's peachy.

I can identify with some of the recent posts, Jesus is the most important thing in my life and the church band and work takes up a lot of time but I'm never going to let Sophie (gorgeous daughter - all from her mother) grow up without me around lots, nor am I ever going to stop her making her own choices.

Sorry Christians in this thread ... there is one thing I have got to say
but let any discussion please be on another thread
(because I started this one to get to know you all, and not to be bombarded by evangelistic story's on how the lord of lords changed your precious little life)

let me tell you a bit about who Jesus was ... since the name of this thread is who are we

Jesus spoke out against the government and got killed
Jesus spoke out against institualism and got killed
Jesus spoke out against market salesman and got killed
Jesus spoke out against landlords and got killed
Jesus spoke out against the religious leaders and got killed

The tale of him being killed to save you from eternal doom is ridiculous (none deserves eternal doom)
the tale of him being risen from the death to overcome yours is ridiculous too (none deserves eternal death)
He was a teacher who teaches us to think authentic and clear (one more reason on why he got killed)

born-again happy-clappy Christians have got nothing to do with who Jesus was
Christians never question, they just obey ... you find them working for the government and for banks.

I'm a bad-ass, nerd to the bone developer from Oslo, Norway. I used to make lots of music, play conserts and stuff, but now coding takes all my time. It's a curse, but I love it...
