Ah yes, if its also other libraries it does sound like a system issue.

Meant to say earlier - love Ned's tracks, Spectrasonics should prominently promote them as they're a very welcome contrast to all the RnB, which puts a lot off I think. In general, I think the most surprising and disappointing aspect of Keyscape is the relative lack of interest in hybrid patches (I'd have expected some of Omni's synth engine eg granular), but Ned's stuff shows what's there in a great context. They should at least release a VIP Omni / Keyscape library in time, as I've no doubt third party will.

...in the meantime i finished to shot down my complete mac and had to do a recovery.
No back up saved, no place.
So will be interesting to see if i will get all my licences to work again.

It's not my day, week, month....damn even year!
I should just sell of all gear and go back to iPads. I'm to dumb for more advanced stuff maybe.

Now after i formated the whole system and started new with OSX mavericks (was on el capitan) and put Keyscape on the intern SSD it runs like a charm.
Oh damn, it sounds awesome indeed.
My macbook is still getting hot like an oven.
Only 2 plug-ins can do that so fast, Kaleidoscope and now Keyscape

I don't installed Omnisphere 2 yet again to see what i can do there with Keyscapes.
But once the instrument is fully loaded (can take still a few seconds) it is a beautiful piece of art.
Playing things with the Seaboard is awesome too.
It couldn't replace my other unique sample libraries but it is just pure inspiration, fun and let me drift away from daily problems.
So i got already my value

There's one acoustic piano patch that is absolutely to die for! Forgot the name but it's really amazing. I played for a long time on that alone and I'm a crappy player. That really shows what that patch did for me

And putting Keyscape in Omnisphere can make everything ambient

That's a concern for me, I don't mind Omnisphere using CPU so much as pads and ambient sounds are OK with a higher buffer but for keyboard playing I need to keep my audio buffer low to get responsiveness in realtime, I also expect lots of voices. If this is going to push CPUs to the max then it's going to limit its usefulness significantly as I would expect this to translate into glitches when pushed hard (plus I don't want the fan loud when I'm wanting to tune into the spaces between notes).

I have the feeling that the streaming of those large instruments needs some juice here.
How i said...the biggest i saw was a C7 patch with about 65GB. I think it shows the uncompressed size in Omnisphere.
Beside it's getting hot a bit (but the fans are still mainly silent, macbook pro 15" late 2013,i7 2.0Ghz quad, 8GB ram) it runs good. I'm at 128 samples. 64 is a bit too much for my machine and 32 is not possible at all.
I should try to make a multi with 8 duo patches.....

The sound is awesome and it's now in my Top 5 of sampled instruments....i think even at the first place now.
I think the price is pretty good for 36 sampled instruments.
It costs me about 9,69€ per instrument!!!

Yeah, but for me I don't particularly have that collectors streak that makes me want most of the more obscure instruments, for me a couple of pianos, and couple of decent EPs would be plenty. I'd love to see them go with the option for just buying individual instruments to bolt into Omnisphere.

Don't think they would do it. It's not the Spectrasonics way.
I really love the more obscure things in Keyscape.
The C7 grand and EP's might get not the most use here

I also think they will add more sound sources and patches in the future since it's just V.1.0.
It's of course not everybody tool but i really love it very much....it's magic for me when mangling those Keys trough Omnisphere 2.
I don't bought Trillian and Stylus but this is my THING!
.....but a Stylus 2 would be interesting maybe.

From the specs, it seems it doesn't have sympathetic resonance, which, IMO, is a big drawback in an acoustic grand piano. Or does it?

And from what I listened in the video presentation, it lacks body in stronger classical pieces like the Revolutionary that was played.

From what I can tell you are correct. I tested the C7 in Keyscape as compared to Pianoteq's model B. The former did not resonate when I held a sustained F in the bass and played stacatto with my right. Pianoteq did resonate just as the manual said it would.

I'm less certain about this as it's subjective to the listener. From what I can tell the C7 sounds really nice and has a round tone all through dynamics pp to ff (about the range of my midi controller).

I don't see Pianoteq being replaced by Keyscape, they complement each other nicely.

Well, was thinking about the lack of half-pedaling and sympathetic resonance. Also seems less featured than ImpactSoundworks Pearl Grand or ProductionVoices Grand Gold, two competing C7's I have and like. YMMV, of course.
