Yes, sorry. There does seem to be a bit of negativity going around, and I apologize for only noticing a flare up of yours.

If your app works the same way as your site, then you're contributing to the dissemination of musical misinformation.JeanPhi wrote:Hi i published my first android app

When I choose a C#Maj7 chord on your site I still get a spelling of C#-F-G#-C. That's not how you spell C#Maj7 (C#-E#-G#-B#) and you've been told this before in this very thread.
I get that implementing correct enharmonic spellings can pose a problem when programming systems like this, but it is laziness to just pass over such a significant flaw.
But answer me this: is it the programming that's holding you back or do you really not understand why the correct spellings are E# instead of F and B# instead of C in a C#Maj7 chord?

This thread! HEY...
Ok, at the link for teh guitar chords there is a graphic of E minor 7th, open position, as it appears on the fretboard, then later a description of "E m7 notes" flashes by where this information is imparted: (E is 0, G is 3, B is 7 and) diminished 7 D is 10.

Yep, the D should be labeled "minor 7th" instead of "diminished 7th."jancivil wrote:Ok, at the link for teh guitar chords there is a graphic of E minor 7th, open position, as it appears on the fretboard, then later a description of "E m7 notes" flashes by where this information is imparted: (E is 0, G is 3, B is 7 and) diminished 7 D is 10.

Thanks for the great site!
This is perfect for ear training: Press a scale/chord, hear it...away I go! I think this could be extremely useful to non-musicians. After all is said and done, it's the sound that counts. And this helps me (and potentially many other non-musicians) get just the right sound.
Thanks!

Hi JeanPi,
thank you very much for this, especially the grid composer, really love it and like to see it grow
Any chance for a desktop application out of this one ? Dont know if it is java based, then it should not be that complicated I would imagine

Hi Tatanka,

If you want to use it on a desktop pc (or mac) without connection you may try the "save as" option of your browser (?)Musical Gym wrote:Cool, are there plans to make it a desktop pc app?

Hi MusicalGym,
thanks for the hint but for me (win7, 64 bit, actual firefox) did not work. I try just "as html" and then "all files" but only get start site, "enter" wont work.
On the other hand I am mostly online and you can save midi, I just thought if app grows would be great. And apps on mobilphone are nothing for my old eyes

Hi musical gym,
yes, I clicked on enter here and nothing happens. Maybe it is firefox, I have only options as I said: save html/save html only text/save all files. With first options I get the start site with the "enter here" but nothing happens when I click on it. Other options dont bring nothing.

gridly dude!!
I clicked other link(s) and it took me to web I think, so I guess the whole site needs to be downloaded if you want it off-line for some reason.
