Make sure that whatever you order comes with some kind of a money back guarantee in case if you don't like it or its not compatible and you will have to send it back. Trust me, you can find the coolest looking laptop with all the right specs, but will be disappointed when you actually get it in your hands. Thats what hapened to me when I ordered Dell Inspiron 9100. That went back to Dell the next day. Now, I'm waiting for my IBM T42 which should arrive shortly. I think I'll be going for brainspawn's VST/DX host "forte" as the "plugin organizer". I have read through the manual, and all the features look simply astonishing! I just hope it'll work fine on the new set-up. I wonder if brainspawn has any hardware recommendations, like Digidesign's recommendations for Seagate HDDs...

This is something we've been thinking about and would like to implemement soon. Stability is very important to us and removing the hardware from the equation would help. Really, we should publish suggested driver versions as well. It could be a complicated project!
