did it really recognize the key? - you can check this
on the info-tab on the far right - in the third line from the top it should say 'registered to XXX' (just an idea

Good news... I found the problem with presets sounding differently. As it turns out, a bug in the 1.09 oscillator code was responsible for aliasing in some conditions - but also for the brighter sounds in the older version. Stay tuned, I'll add a "legacy" toggle to select if you want the bug or not.

RE: DX7 import
Yeah: I got to test this, and the patch I kept having trouble on before ( Bo-Piano) is now working great! The percissive patches are now more percussive and snappy! While the import is not suppose to be exact, ITS MUCH BETTER. For those that want to try it can get sysex patches on my DX7 page:

Funny - it's the first time that I want to have a bug.
All the best

Actually, the "old" brightness is the right one. It's only noticeable on presets with high FM settings, as it's related to the amount of FM scaling.
Anyway, there'll be a service pack soon (maybe today if I have the time to do enough testing). Damn, I'm almost sounding like Microsoft now...

Rhino was brilliant before but this is something else. There's a lot of hard work gone into this for which you and everyone associated (beta testers et al) should be applauded.
I notice that some of the sounds say Legacy or textures - does this mean there are some new sounds on the way too?
Some of those complex and vector type sounds are truly beautiful.
Lastly I think it was a very good move on the part of Big Tick to let the registered users get access to Rhino 2 first. You will continue to win more plaudits and more fans with this excellent customer service.

one of the two crashes I had (and it was a hard one - I had to press reset on my machine) was also while changing presets but I have been playing at the same time - when I tried to repeat the crash I noticed that Rhino2 apparently doesn't like it if it receives midi-messages (at least note on/off) meanwhileBig Tick wrote:I haven't reproduced that crash yet, unfortunately.

I'll do that tonight when I'm at home. By the way, I also remember that the crash appeared while I was playing notes.Big Tick wrote:It won't hurtSend away please...

Can anyone confirm the glitches in the first patch of the new demo bank (sounds like poorly cleared delay buffers) or is it just me?
FT
PS: I don't want to sound too negative in my postings, R2 is truely brilliant.

Hi,
Rhino 2 is also registered to my name. But get no MIDI-CC out of it (with MIDI OUT enabled and disabled), and "Allow program edit" ON or OFF.
Rhino 1.09 worked with MIDI OUT OFF!
