Which one is the "non exe" version?I believe I've tried everything already and all I could think to do,is changing my buffer size to the max....I'll see what happens then...thecontrolcentre wrote: Did you try downloading the non-exe version, and dropping it into your plugin folder.

I'm getting the same error in Sonar Platinum on my Windows 7 x64 installation. And like @FrostLine, I manually installed PolyGAS into a custom VST folder. I can load a preset and it seems to work fine, but I still get this error each time I load an instance of the synth.Frostline wrote:Using in Reaper 5.4 x64 Win 10 x64.
Used the provided manual instal option.
Upon inserting new instance of PolyGAS I get the following error.
After clicking ok PolyGAS GUI appears.
It starts on empty setting, which is fine, but when trying to add a wav by clicking the little folder icon nothing happens.
However if a preset is selected (the named presets all seem to work fine) then pressing the wav folder icon has a browse window open which allows me to browse my pc and import a wav.
Note, it would be nice if PolyGAS remembered the location of previous wav import in current session. As currently I have to re-navigate to my wav storage location every time I want to try a different wav file.
I'm not complaining, of course (and I don't think anyone here is); I'm just letting you know in case it's something you can address.
Thanks!
Steve

Hmm. I'm using Ableton Live 9.7.1 and I get the same error as above, but I can't get any sound out of it. Plus it seems to send MIDI notes just fine until I change a preset. Seems like a cool thing I'd love to try though if it ever gets fixed. I'm too broke to donate atm so :/
(P.S. I usually lurk on these boards but your synth managed to get my first post, so there's definitely something I like here

All file scanned totally clean here, 32 bit, 64 bit, manual zip, installers and banks.
Thanks for your granular synth Vasyan.

are you using a single antivirus program in your virus scan?Diego_C wrote:All file scanned totally clean here, 32 bit, 64 bit, manual zip, installers and banks.

i uploaded the 32bit DLL to http://www.virustotal.com which uses 64 different scan engines
to check the files. sophos engine reports "heuristic" ie; a possible virus.

So you ignore that all major AV's give it a clean bill of health and concentrate on one very minor AV seeing something 'heuristic'
Why so suspicious?

why do ALL other plugs i use come up 100% clean on all 64 engines? (yes, i upped them all)ZeePok wrote:layzer wrote:are you using a single antivirus program in your virus scan?Diego_C wrote:All file scanned totally clean here, 32 bit, 64 bit, manual zip, installers and banks.

but this one does not? only takes one person to give you AIDS.......... ONE.
its been a DAW rule for me for some time not to use anything but 100% clean plugins.
its called being precautionary. as extreme as it may seem. I'm not forcing anyone not
to use polygas, just informing KVR of what i found from my own virus testing...

For what it's worth, I simply deleted the 32-bit .DLL, and I've had no problem with the synth (other than the one I mentioned earlier, a known issue about it not being able to open some default file).ZeePok wrote:
Well, it's your loss! You're missing out on a superb piece of software with great sonic possibilities!
The 32-bit DLL's obviously showing a false-positive reading, especially if it's found using "heuristics", which leads to more false-positives than standard scanning does.
I'm not trying to convince anyone; I'm just saying that deleting the 32-bit DLL doesn't affect the synth at all.

Huh. Apparently if you click anywhere outside of the plugin window, you get sound as usual in Ableton.
Trying to load in your own (longer) samples is still buggy though in Ableton, but it works, i guess.
Edit: I should RTFM I guess. It says don't load in samples longer than 10 seconds lol

You in the right mind? To me that there is nothing to do more as viruses to write? I am first of all a musician, and I wish that other musicians used my software product in the creativity.layzer wrote:
