3.0.0 beta 4 posted. Links in the original post.
2017-09-15 (3.0.0beta4, Xenakios fork)
-When audio stopped, refresh the GUI components less often to reduce CPU consumption
-If opening audio output device fails, show error message on application start-up
-Preliminary audio looping support (does not crossfade yet, so may cause additional noise)

Working on Windows 7 64 bit here. Only thing I've noticed is that render doesn't always work - as in it starts and then the green bar just disappears and I find it's only rendered part of the file. I thought this was happening with large FFT windows and big stretches but it seems that's not always the case.
But anyway many thanks for this - I was about to start using PaulStrech for a project so this improved version is very welcome.

Things are problematic if the input file (or the time selection from it) is short but even more problematic if the FFT window size in addition is long.ChamomileShark wrote:I find it's only rendered part of the file..
I am attempting to improve this for the next build.

Just noticed that changing FFT Size during playback was disabled in build 3. I had no problem changing FFT size in real time on beta 2 FYI. It seemed to work, in that I got that time/frequency trade off smoothly with no glitching.
Win 10, 64 bit, i3570k, 16MB RAM.
