I thought the Offset knob had become Center Frq? is that not the case?

Hmm.., not 100% sure but the center frq seens to move the poles in the frequency spectrum. I thin the offset knob was offsetting the phase from LFO1 so get some interesting superposition waves when used with LFO2.

Again not 100% sure that I remember the manual correctly, I used is mostly by ear.

Maybe d16 can give some infos on this topic?

I'm pretty sure they are the same thing, moving the offset knob on Fazortan1 has pretty much the same sonic effect as moving the center freq knob on other phasers.

Hmm could be possible, dubguy. Still not 100% sure that do the same thing. I have not understood it fully from the manual to be honest.

As I understand the 'center frq' knob really just controls the center frequency from the poles in the spectrum. While the 'offset' knob contorls the offset from LFO1 compared to LFO2 and this resulting wave modulates the center frequency.

D16? Maybe you can jump in here an give some info on this topic? :)

Fazortan 2 manual
Center Frq. - The stages are evenly spread in frequency domain and position of its vertical symmetry axis is called Center frequency (Fundamental frequency) of Phase shifter – Controlled by Center Frq. parameter. Additionally the frequency is modulated by two LFOs (Low Frequency Oscillator) described in following chapters.
Fazortan 1 manual
In Fazortan we have two LFO modules. However the second one is devoid of Offset parameter. It’s easy to become convinced that this parameter in the 2nd LFO is useless. Waves generated by those two LFO are mixed together (added) and the resultant wave controls the fundamental frequency of the phase shifter.

Apologize for posting off topic but D16 doesn't have a subforum here. I'm trying to get into my account at the d16 site but there reset password page isn't sending any link to my email (waited 8 hours, many attempts, checked spam) and on top of that opening a support ticket does nothing when I hit 'send'.

How do I get ahold of these guys? I'm currently locked out of my account there and have no clue how to access anything or even get ahold of anyone at d16.

Any help would be great If any of you have any ideas. Needless to say I won't be buying Fazortan 2 for the time being, despite the discount I received (somehow that did manage to get sent to my email).

I just tried to submit a ticket and it seemed to work https://helpdesk.d16.pl/tickets

did you try this? Also at the bottom you have to do a math problem to make it work, to make sure you are human.

Yeah that's where I attempted to submit my ticket from, several times. I did the math question each time also. Not a big deal I guess, was wanting to buy a d16 product 2nd hand, have lush101 from them but that's all. Just feel bad about backing out of a sale w/ a member here is the main thing.

I had only one support need, but D16 was quite fast and helpful. I've heard only very positive things about their support.

Keep in mind that they have a weekend too.

Post

Not a criticism of their support, if you read above my issue is I cannot contact their support. Whether it's the d16 site or something on my end ie my browser, etc. who can say.

Such a great update! And just in time for my current project. Bought F1 a few weeks ago and they didn't charge a single buck for the update. I still don't like the preset management, but I don't mind, I tweak my FX anyway and all the time.

Bought Fazortan2 as sounded great

Just upgraded to V2 (without demoing, just because of the very attractive offer). The GUI is one of the best I ever saw. Sounds cool too.

BUT, the CPU usage is brutal: more than 2x the amount of V1, which wasn't exactly light either (at least on my machine). And that's on Normal quality. So, any chance of a Draft setting, D16?

Hi Guys,

I was asked via PM about Offset parameter, so let me explain, that Offset in Fazortan 1 does exactly the same what Base Frequency in Fazortan 2. We've decided to move the parameter and rename it so it'd have much more sense in the context of Phaser effect.
