If you aren't satisfied that no RnB, nu-metal or House tune has one one of the free-for-all months, consider that maybe none of the entries were as good as the winning songs. Frankly I don't think there's that many submissions in those styles but if there were, I doubt they'd be ruled out...Armadillo wrote:The might win if you had a best RnB, nu-metal or House month, but not in a best free-for-all.
can someone prove me wrong? A previous comp perhaps?

It's a shame really, cause I reckon that none of the styles I listen to would even get near top 10. Stuff like Trance, Big beat, RnB, nu-metal and House just don't fit in here.![]()
Rant over....

June 2002 Resonance won with a kind of nu-metel thing I seem to recall (link isn't there though), and Neroz's 3rd place the month after was similar.
Don't actually seem to remember many R&B, House or trance tracks being submitted to be honest, usually it polarises round singer/guitar stuff, and ambient soundscapery type of stuff, with the odd jaaather here and there.

I personally would love to hear more R'n'B, funk, soul or old school garidge stuff round here. Always wondered why there isn't much. The occasional trip hopper and that's about it...
Where are they all? Fighting?
Or maybe too busy out doing PAs to hang on KVR
Where are they all? Fighting?
Music with dinner is an insult both to the cook and the violinist.

Indeed (shame though it is to agree with greels), where is all the 'urban' (shite term) music on K-v-r? there's a f**k of a lot of people making it, especially round here in t'ghetto!griels wrote:I personally would love to hear more R'n'B, funk, soul or old school garidge stuff round here. On places like futureproducers.com it's mainly "urbanites". I would have thought loads of them hang around here as well. Especially since they have dedicated softsynths and sequencer forums.donkey tugger wrote:Indeed (shame though it is to agree with greels), where is all the 'urban' (shite term) music on K-v-r? there's a f**k of a lot of people making it, especially round here in t'ghetto!griels wrote:I personally would love to hear more R'n'B, funk, soul or old school garidge stuff round here.
