Whose ass? I need details to make sense of that.

Mildly tempting, but I refuse to pay for the dongle, so that's that.

Take it as an early bird fee... you didn´t need to wait and could run it already for some time... 8)

Everything runs like ass on a mac... :hihi:
Not true

Cubase is well known to have very poor performance on Mac. If you don’t believe me then buy it and cry later when you run back to dp or logicpro

Just Trance, but that’s been obsolete for years.

On the Steinberg website, no. At Thomann, it is €10 more for the cgrade, but the elicencer is included. I don't know if that is a physical dongle, or virtual. For the cgrade, though, I need my Logic serial, and I can't seem to find it. It isn't on the 'about Logic Pro' menu selection.

Can you add details? I am thinking of jumping on this deal. I am on a Mac. 9.5 runs fine , but I am on Elements.
I am on iMac late 2015, 27" 5K retina Intel Corei5 3.3Ghz.

I have Artist 9.0 and I don't even bother trying anymore it is that slow and irritating compared to Logic Pro X. Even Ableton runs better. :o

If it comes with an eLicenser it is a physical dongle. Cubase needs a physical dongle, unfortunately.

Not sure what you guys are doing, but Cubase 10 is running perfectly fine here on a 2016 MacBook. There are obviously differences in performance between the different DAWs and it can be somewhat expected that Logic performs well on a Mac. But these differences not at a level that should worry the average user. In my experience, Cubase performance is on par with Ableton and most other DAWs.

Cubase 9.x also runs poorly on your setup? I am on an old Mac Mini circa 2012 I think. 9.5 runs fine on my end. Maybe I should d/l the 10.x demo before I decide to jump in. I have been debating upgrading to a fuller DAW.
