Berkley Community Center? 73? You old hippie you!
Actually, I'd been 8 years old back then and my fist visit of Berkley (which I quite liked, btw) was 19 years in the future...
I'm jealous though. There's been a lot going on in the bay area (well, not only there) back then.

The opening act was a little 4-piece who had just put out there first album. the 4-piece was the Eagles! interesting opening act for KC... it was Fripp, Wetton, Bruford and Cross. can still picture them on stage doing Easy Money...
I guess they could have teamed up for a tune... 'Take it Easy Money'...

Actually Eagles got a bit of a bum rap with there support - they were the support act for Jethro Tull as well, at a time when Tull played 'We used to know', which has a very particular chord progression... Which turned up on a little ditty called 'Hotel California', and they didn't even change the key!! The HC guitar solo sounds remarkably similar to the JT one, only without so much Wah, and in 4/4 rather than JT's 6/8..

Anyway this is a KC fred, so I'll keep my distractions to a minimum!

You forgot my favourite Fripp album The League of Crafty Guitarists, fantastic minimalist stuff.

in case you don't know "the bridge beetween", listen to it it's a wonderfull album too (very overlooked)

with some fabulous fripp solos

in more recent "less known" release (1999) I also like
gunn-rieflin-fripp "repercusion of an angelic behaviour"
(in a same vein as the projekcts)
with very large fripp solo too (sometime too short for me in crimson studio album :emoticon(':?'))
