It's just another algorithm to have access too, same one used in Cubase btw.

Hum. Nothing really new :\

Improved engine performance tho.

Seems like all the big hosts are equal now. What a surprise.

I for one, think its a great release.

A definite 'catch-up' version, grabbing bits and pieces from what the other competitors did well :-D.

The other hosts have caught up with Sonars PDC now, so things its pretty much coming down to preference :-D

We still have the best audio routing imo ;)
If it sounds good it is good.

Well, the pricing info is new info.

You can also order it from the online store now... or at least see what your upgrade pricing might be...

Looks like $179 USD from Producer 3 to Producer 4.

But... the good news is for those who haven't upgraded to 3 yet...

$219 for Sonar 1 & 2 people.

Post

Wow! The UK prices at etcetera actually appear to be cheaper than the exchange rate would suggest...

:-o

$479 or £199 for Studio when the exchange rate at www.xe.com pegs $479 as £267, and $949 or £399 for Producer versus an exchange rate price of £529...

Yeah, in some respects. Not necessarily a bad thing though... see how the other guys did it and maybe avoid their mistakes.

Like with freeze.

I'm very impressed... it's almost like a "this is how SX2 should have done it" release.

Although now with SX3 due out possibly at the end of next week, it will be interesting to see what that will have to offer.

Seems a little steep for an upgrade but I'll reserve judgement until I try it.

Indeed, that's good - since that was the price last month to go from 2(regular) to 3Pro.

Oops... my mistake... yes $249.

But I think it was $219 from 2 to 3 Producer...

So, this is great news IMO for anyone who hasn't upgraded to 3 yet. I mean, for an extra $30...
