eh?

That sounds like some kind of really gross tasting gourmet cheese only a fat lady in Barcelona would consider palattable..

ST & SS free are pretty nifty, though..no jack intended :hihi:
buckshee is just Scottish for "free"
I thought it was a bit more universal, but I have since been informed otherwise

It's been my observation that alot of time is spent on hunt & peck missions locating files from IK's pages..maybe you should mention this to them so they could hopefully make things a bit more accessable.

I haven't had a problem finding anything for either ST or SS free & the sounds, but hey..I'm way smarter then the average guy

Wow
Just installed st2 free and now i am in euro dance heaven

I have created some patches in the sonic synth2 also.
For a while i wished for a free good rompler but this one really kicks ass.

When i can afford it i think i have to buy both of them sonic and sampletank 8) (but that might take a while)

Keep up the good work squid.

Hey Squids,

As an ST 2 XL user, what would be the cost of the "Cross Grade" and what are some of the benefits of doing so?

Well, for a limited time it will be only $199. for either the crossgrade from ST2 XL -OR- as an upgrade from Sonic Synth 1. (if you have both ST2 XL and Sonic Synth 1 it is still $199. as you can't do a cross-grade and upgrade at the same time). The difference is that you can get the crossgrade from IK, SR or esoundz but the upgrade you can only get from SR or esoundz. The normal price is $399.

The advantages for an ST2XL user are mainly that you'd get a massive collection of new sounds. In fact, one could call the crossgrade a "sounds only" version because you already have a good engine to play it back with (the sounds are done using ST2 format as the basis). But, the reason it isn't a sounds only version is because even at the low cross-grade price we include the whole thing. One of the advantages of having the whole thing is that you can run the SS2 interface browsing to a different place on your HDs than ST2 which is nice. You may also like it aesthetically too perhaps. But, the main thing is the value of all of those sounds in one collection.

Thanks. I won't take all of the credit. This is a real collaboration with SR and IK. I think it is a great combination of what the companies each do best. IK makes tools that a sound developer such as SR has a field day with. You can imagine that we fuel the fire for more feature additions in future updates too that we'll take advantage of. So, this is even just the beginning still IMO. It's only going to get better!

But, wait until you guys see the full version. We went all out and really took some time to improve on the first one. This version will reach even more people because it will be very good for electronic, progressive rock, jazz, R&B, Hip Hop, soundtracks, ambient, trance, house... It's really a very full synth workstation now.
