The main thing to be aware of is to NOT use modulating FX outside Vital (of if you do, use lightly/sparingly). e.g. OK to use the inbuilt chorus, but NOT OK is use a chorus VST to process the sound coming from the Vital instance.

Looking forward to hearing your submission.

Thank you! i've read them carefully i think i understand them pretty well. I copied and pasted them all into a notepad document for reference, just in case :D

After discussing the rules for using Vital in this OSC, there are only two dark spots left for me:
1) Sample oscillator. No external samples, that's clear. What about factory content for it? Can I at least use it for white noise?
2) Sound frequency modulation. This is one of the functions of the synthesizer. Just yes or no? :?

Yes you can use anything that is factory as long as the modulation is done inside vital or via midi that's fair game.

Vital is a really nice synth
I'm happy, that I can join in the challenge this month.
Here is my first little test of the synth.

I would enter this but I can't even make music anymore without putting RAUM reverb on everything.

Seriously.

Commercial plugs are allowed this month, which includes Raum! And believe me, there's gonna be some Raum on my track! So... bring it! :D

I thought I would participate anytime soon. But with commercial plugins it is really neat. Finally an OSC where i can use volumeshaper5.

Sorry, I probably can't remember where I saw this.
:?: Does anyone know what restrictions there are on the number of Text-To-Wavetables created in the free version of Vital :?:

According to the website (hover over the "unlimited text-to-wavetable" points) it's 5 per day.

IV!, I hope you do finish a song this month  I've noticed that you've been following the OSC and only been posting on these threads for so many months but haven't submitted anything :( So may this be the month for your! :hyper:

It's Vital that you submit something :hihi:

If you (or anyone else) need(s) quick feedback/help or just want to hang out and discuss OSC and everything under the sun, just join the OSC slack https://one-synth-challenge.herokuapp.com/

Cheers!

Oh, wow, thank you very much, I really appreciate your support, it's very motivating to me!!!
Yes, I started writing tracks in the last few months, but I couldn't finish them because of my depressive-demotivating condition, what made me feel even more pain. Too many demands on myself... :scared:
I deliberately missed Monique and now is Vital...
Absolutely fantastic synth, because with a professional set of features, it feels so easy! Wavetables is a Terra incognita for me, but Vital introduces it as a primary school teacher. So I'm going to spend a lot of time and effort on learning, but present my track this month (despite the fact that I will be at work almost seven days a week for half a month), so thank you again!
By the way, a question about the case: have you researched the maximum length of text that can be translated into wavetable? :ud: I don't know English, but I'm drawn to lyrics... :violin:
