Hey, no worry. There always can be a miss or two when beta testing.zvenx wrote: Mon Dec 14, 2020 1:50 pm @chk071.... I may have to bare part of the responsibility.
I too just tried it on Windows 10 (mac is fine) and it freezes both Studio one Pro and Nuendo.
The previous build which was suppose to be the final build, was ready and worked fine, but I found two issues yesterday that I reported to Patrick...
Alas I didn't check the build with the fix for those issues on my Windows computer.
Sorry.
Patrick is on it though. And anyone who has been part of the TAL family from before will realize how quickly he fixes and repairs issues.
Sorry again.

Cool, I never cared much for the original hardware, but Tal synths always deliver awesome sound quality for a very moderate price.
Will check it out asap.

rspThanks I guess!
Now is time to be nitpicking about solo and legato mode, almost sure that solo mode on Jupiter-8 is legato. A guy on Arturia forum agree with me on this
Well, I'm at work and won't have time to test properly, but anywhay, congrats on the release! It's very likely that I buy it soon or later... what's the limit date for the intro discount?
I agree with you after further investigation.
If the voices are over 1, in solo mode it does not legato without the Portamento being on or auto..

You know it is not my product right?
Hopefully Patrick can answer when it ends and also the solo legato mode thing (been years since I have played a jupiter 8 so I honestly don't recall)

Just an (over)enthusiastic beta tester. (who might have prodded him to do this a few months ago)

TAL-MOD is one of my favorite Synths. Now, this looks very good, and tempting too.
I read some users are having issues with installing it, I usually install the VST3 version, I'm using Studio One Pro 5 on Windows 10.
Will I be able to install it without any issues ?

The issue was fixed within an hour.
The one with the issue pulled (1.1.1) and replaced with 1.1.2
You should be good now.

One of my favourite developers , but I was so hoping for a Talmod update or rather a Jupiter 6
The crossmod section never made sense in the jupiter 8 , osc 1 is modulated by osc 2 , but when engaging sync on osc2 ( synced by osc 1 ) , it becomes haywire pretty fast
On the jupiter 6 it's the other way around sync master is also cross modulator , and the roland jupiter 8 cloud also added this option
Nevertheless it sounds great as with all talmod commercial plugins, really hopes he sells a shitload of them , quality wise his plugins are up there with the best .
Always awesome when it comes to bug reports, suggestions and fixes , unlike certain companies named after a certain fruit

Bought without demoing, as expected from TAL it sounds super good, way better than the old Arturia version (I don't have the collection 8, pricing is a joke). The interface is awesome, streamline and quick to dial what you want, just like the TAL Juno

A bit outdated preset browser it seems? Probably a cool synth though.

And yeah the demo white noise with TAL is on another level.

Just enable portamento ( set to ON ) and set portamento value to zerowaltercruz wrote: Mon Dec 14, 2020 3:20 pm Well.. In Solo mode, the envelope should be mono retriggered don't? By example, using the patch Cars Sync from Jupiter Factory, in solo mode, playing a trill, the envelope should not retrigger for every note. Old Jup-8 from Arturia didn't worked that way and they fixed on the new Jup-8 V4...
Same trick applies to talmod for playing legato

for those commenting on the gui... is it skinable?
does it have a skins folder?
not suggesting everyone should skin it, but if it is skinable, somebody could make some changes, possibly....

If you ask Patrick to add a colour slider for gui skinning ( like talmod , sampler ) , there is a big chance he will do it .
Like stated numerous times , one of the best developers evvaaaaah
He just drops a great jup -8 into the wild without any promo-hype , totally unbelievable
He reminds me of gregori perelman , who didn't a give a shit about winning the fields medal and it's 1 million dollar prize
