Many synths can 'sound analog' depending on the sound design more than the synth.
Some synths just make it easier to get an analog sounding patch with less effort.
One of the best newer synths on the market which do this is Synapse Audio Obsession.
Older ones would be U-he Diva, and Repro.

Add enough modulation, randomization, and saturation and anything can be analog enough. You know, all the annoying things people worked their asses off to take way back when analog was the only option. :hihi: "Analog" is a stupid term; what you're probably really after is something which isn't simple and static.

Anyway, TyrellN6 or Xhip if you're broke, Diva if you're not. (Or roll your own with, say, Reaktor.) Now go make some music.
Wait... loot _then_ burn? D'oh!

Diva and Repro have the best secret sauce.

I wonder how anyone could expect a useful answer to such a question… All synths that claim to model analog will be mentioned for sure. The aficionados of real analog hardware will claim no software can do it, and the itb pack will claim it can and doesn‘t make a difference in the mix anyway… Nothing to gain here, its a matter of taste and taste is very personal…

Ones that do convincing jazz scats ofc.

If you want analog sound, buy analog gear.

bx_oberhausen is cool tho.

After going through 5 pages of non-sense, I still can't tell what people have decided are the best 'analog' VSTs. This thread is useless without a poll.

There was a time before where cost was an issue, but lately there are a lot of cheaper mini analog synths on the market, where its equal in cost to many software synths.
I'm hoping to get the Korg volca keys which is really cheap, and sounds great.
