Would love to use ARC3 on the my Mac output.

Also, does it host plugins so it can be used like Audio Gridder?
RogueAmoeba SoundSource is what you want for that. You can put any AU on your System audio, or, for that matter, on a single app's audio.
I would love something like that (or loopback) for Windows - but if BlueCat could get Connector running for apps that don't have VST support that would be a dream come true for me - could then process software like https://www.giorgiosancristoforo.net/softwares/ or https://www.audiobulb.com/AUXTURE.htm directly
Could this work for you, possibly? https://www.nerds.de/en/loopbeaudio.html

I am interested in this, too, to route Sunvox into Renoise, Reaper, etc.
thanks - I have it working in Reaper. Really thrilled you sent that link as I have been wanting something like this for ages. It is a bit of a pain to set up, but hopefully once set up it stays set up :)

mmm - looks like loopbeaudio might have some competition soon :) or maybe that is adding connector functionality into patchwork.

There have been a couple of videos released about Blue Cat's Connector this week that you might find interesting:

We have also updated our knowledgebase to help you set up Connector:

Blue Cat's Connector knowledgebase & FAQ.

We will keep updating it in the coming weeks, while we get more questions!

Updating the knowledge base or the plugin?
Did you spot the problem with Midi? I want and wish it becomes usable…

Which problem with MIDI?

Some more Connector fun in the Blue Cat Audio lab!

There is actually a preview available if you already own Connector!

This network slave mode is now available as a preview built into the Patchwork, Axiom or Plug'n Script applications. It supports both audio and MIDI (whereas the ASIO preview is audio only).

I'm trying to use MainStage / Alchemy inside Bitwig (local, same machine). Playing Alchemy inside of Bitwig kind of works, but notes keep hanging or skipping regularly. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if it is a demo limitation.

I mentioned it several times. I get a lot of stuck and missing notes by simply sending Midi from my LinnStrument. My scenario I would like to use, is sending Midi from Bitwig to Mainstage and receiving the audio from Mainstage back in Bitwig… I am running it on a Mac Pro 2013 and a Macbook Air 2015 with Mojave. Both have the same problem… Literally unusable…

It could indeed be due to the demo limitation that bypasses the plug-in regularly, some events are probably missed when the plug-in is bypassed. Or it could be because it is dropping frames: does the receiver display any dropouts?

Sorry if I missed it, there have been a couple of posts about MIDI.

If you are using the demo, it could be due to the regular bypass thing, and if not, have you checked that there is not dropout in the receiving instance? If any frame is dropped, you can indeed miss events.

I bought it, so its the full version.
I tried to narrow it down. It seems to be related to a different audio buffer setting in Mainstage and Bitwig. I had Mainstage on 128 samples and Bitwig on 256. With that setting I get Midi dropouts. I had set temporarily the Bitwig block size to 64. With this Midi seemed fine, but the audio connection dropped out all the time, the connected/disconnected display switching back and forth in a high speed, some seconds ok, and then dropping out again.
It seems if I set both apps to the same audio buffer, it works... I'll try with smaller but same sizes again, at the moment I put it to 256 on Mainstage and Bitwig...

If setting different audio block sizes leads to unfixable problems, it might be an idea to put out a warning if those sizes do not match...
