McDsp is really a pioneer and a powerhouse when it comes to quality and cpu usage! One of the best companies out there.

Very true however the upgrade path to 7 was very badly mismanaged unfortunately.

I agree with both points. My McDSP adventure ends with version 6 because I cant justify the high cost of upgrading to 7 taking into account the upadted featues.

Sooner or later he will get desperate and start selling them cheap, which is how I got them in the first place.

Huge fan of McDSP... and will stick to V6 until the status quo becomes reasonable.
Upgrade price feels like spit in the face. Not cool.

I've got Ec300 for free last year and I'm happy with it (but not like the skeuomorphic GUI)

I just got tricked into thinking V7 was an update by them. I have only 3 plugins from them EC300 Echo Collection, Ultimate Channel Strip 6050, and Ultimate Multi-band 6034.

Twice (!), in the email headline it says UPDATE, not UPGRADE. I downloaded, uninstalled old/installed new, only to get shot down by iLok.

Go back to re-read the email, and way down at the bottom of the page it says "upgrade". $29 a piece, no way, no thanks.

That is shady. And it sucks, because I happen to really like these. Was hoping to finally get presets that show, and full VST3 ability.

That IS spit in the face.

Have never used them but since I can get them all for $12 a month subscription, going for it. Hope they give me something different than all the UAD plugs I have.
