@mmGhost, thanks for your hint! I already try to enable it in logic's plugin-manager. FAILED!
Cardinal is much more stable in Ableton Live 11. So i will go on working in this DAW ... and stop selling my ableton license ....

Another strategy/suggestion: If the prospects seem daunting, and you don't have the time or inclination to explore the extremities of modular madness, I would suggest that you take a look at your favourite subtractive synth and roughly emulate the architecture of that as a template for your sounds and stick to it. Then you can start stacking up your "Juno" or "Prophet" patches in classic OSC fashion. I guess that's part of the beauty - it doesn't *have* to be all that complicated!

There are even complete synth voice modules. One of those polyphonic.

I have done it with relatively simple "synth racks" ... for each of the voices I need for my different tracks.

i don't think i can do this even with a tutorial. ㅠㅠ
My approach was to compose first. Then build the instruments and tweak each one to suit when in the mix. To add to the challenge, I am not using any DAW or 3rd party FX - everything from synthesis to FX processing will be done using Cardinal modules. :dog:

Once you have the default patch up - kudos to the folks for giving us a head start - you can easily poke around and change the VCO module, add a filter and/or reverb (Valley reverb as mentioned before is a really good plate). :tu:

Lots of time, and you will learn a lot about synthesis this way - really. :phones:

Thanx for da heads up.

My latest Protoplug/LUA endevour:

It's a Chord Retrigger

How does it work:
Feed it the chord notes via midi channel 1
Feed it the rhythmic notes via channel 2
The code keeps track of the chord notes and whenever there's a note on channel 1 plays them.

https://github.com/huberp/ProtoplugScri ... toplug.lua

I use it in Bitwig with a Note Receiver on the chords track. It receives the rhythmic notes from elsewhere and maps them to channel2.
You can as well have everything inone clip and simply map the rhythmic notes to channel 2 manually. I have only tested it with a "monophonic" ryhthm line ...

**************** Submission *****************
After a lot of work swapping in an out modules in my ALL Cardinal (including mastering) track, I have managed to get my project to run with Max CPU of 7.4% and max RT cpu of 1.3%!

Here is my submission - I don't want to tempt fate and get back to crash on save (ie no save!!), and RT cpu rolling up to 220% and a struggling 8700K machine with 32gb ram (ie no slouch!).

But it has been great, getting back to plugging things in again (as per my old days in the 60's with Moog Modulars etc!). Still, the real hardware is still somewhat more "tactile"!!!

My track is a bow to Keith Emerson (esp Pictures at an Exhibition) and Wendy Carlos.

DAW:Reaper

All sounds made as below plus one reverb buss and mastering all done with Cardinal.

Tracks:
Bass 1: Cardinal Synth, Host MIDI, LifeFormModular Additive Vibration, VCV ADSR, BogAudio OFFSET, VCV VCA, BogAudio VCF, BogAudio PEQ, Host Audio

Strings: Cardinal Synth, Host MIDI, Befaco evenVCO, VCV ADSR, BogAudio OFFSET, VCV VCA, BogAudio VCF, stocaudio delay, BogAudio PEQ, Host Audio

I hope you enjoy a trip to the past!!!

In OSC 159 (Surge XT), I submitted a track inspired by the Vancouver Skytrain. It got some positive comments (thanks everyone!), so I beefed it up a bit and created a video to go with it. If anyone would like to see it, here it is:

Sounds like you had quite a struggle! Still, if it's not baroque, don't fix it...

Sorry, I don't know my way around these forums yet. Where should I post this?

How about the actual topic of that challenge? -> viewtopic.php?t=581363&start=540

Well, that was my first thought, but does anyone look for new posts in the topic once the competition is done? When I checked, the last post in that topic was in July, so I didn't think anyone would see a new post now.
