Testing now on Jeskola Buzz under Polac's Adapter. It runs smooth. No problem for more than 30 minutes.
PWM is easy to achieve by modulating Phase of the inverted Sawtooth. (2 sawtooth)
About Oscillators, we have 4, not just 2, but using the additive editor, you can select Saw/Square oscillators, that's more than 64 oscillators... Wave editing, PM, FM, Ringmod.
A ton of features are already included. It just need a bit of code stabilization to be a beast...

- 8x or 4x Oversampling could be a more useful option. oversampling to 2x makes no great audible difference.
- IT'd be great to have the Amp ADSR envelope on sight, that would allow to have 2 envelopes in the same view.
- Using shift while editing RATE on a MSEG (set to 1/4) I can only see 0.1x, 0.2x, 0.3x and no intermediate values. I'would like to set it to 0.125/0.25/0.333 to fit 2, 1, 1/3 figures. Hint display is limited to 1 digit. Maybe a display box could help there.
- Moving a lot of points in the MSEG/waveform editors to the left or right don't get rid of them, you get a lot of points stockpiled in different positions. It'd help to get rid of the points that reach tops other than 1.
- In Delay Options, can't see an easy way to set it to Pingpong 1:1.5 (1/8 - 1/8*) (but PP1:1 with 1/8* sounds kind of what I want to do)
- What about the blank space in the FX section?
- Mixing 2 waves with XMOD at extreme positions allows for some audio from the opposite oscillator to be heard.
- I'm trying to understand the benefits of the XFORM shapers. Given the flexibility to edit the 4 modulators, are the XForm really creating a difference¿?

- Back to Studio One V5. whenever Hint floating window appears, DAW crashes.
Correction: On fixed value changes like OSC ratio, Hint box crash doesn´t happen. Editing Cutoff/XMOD/Amp, and other continuous values leads to crash.

Thanks for the report. I did not yet dive deeply into this but it looks like it's related to the Trim/Read mode and could be due to the fact that the plugin does not currently report the beginning / ending of parameter control mouse gesture to the host. Not sure yet if this will be fixed in the initial release because it might require some work under the hood.

Crashing occurs when playing around with the filters .
Just Serial mode , lp into hp and tweaking the filter balance knob .

I want to look into it but can you please provide some information about your setup, i.e. OS, CPU, DAW, VST3 or CLAP? Does it occur 100% or rarely/randomly? Thanks.

You mean loading a preset by dragging the file onto the UI? Not supported currently, but this is certainly the kind of usability improvement I want to add at some point. Same for keyboard support.

I was meaning drag and drop modulation. It might not be possible. I only got it to work with the dialog that appears with a dropdown, the problem is my muscle memory makes me press ESC to close that dialog and the result on Reaper is closing the whole synth UI.

Crushing host immediately upon plugin loading - "Serious problem occurred...".
Empty waveform and indicating windows in initial state. Preset could be opened, knobs operated, but no sound at all, until cubase restart.

It happens verry oftern ( >90% of the time ) , just playing with either Filter 2 cutof and or - filter balance while triggering a note

I really want to use this program, but I use a high resolution screen, and the gui is so small. Is there a way to make the gui bigger? High resolution screens are what is sold as the standard these days. Please?

Now using Bitwig (already not updated to the last version, just 5.0.4):
- It works flawless. it is detected as VST3 FX.
- No hints popping when using "realtime parameters" (is there any way of enabling/disabling "hints/tips"?.
- When i set filter mode to parallel, the first filter is Muted (seems to be a routing problem, maybe output not connected).
- Dual Mode also mutes 1st filter. (Both this & previous happens in Studio One / Bitwig /JeskolaBuzz)

Back to Studio One:
I can automate EVERY parameter and play a sequence. It works. I can't touch the parameters with the mouse, once the hint windows appears, it takes few seconds until DAW freezes.

When using these modes, you usually want to set the filter balance to 50% so both filter outputs are heard. Could this have been the problem?

Working fine on Win7 here, so far. A beautiful, entirely new synth. Let's face it, this isn't a v3.

That Transistor preset is a very nice 'tutorial preset' to understand some of C3's quirks, and what a nice sounding preset.
Unless I missed it, it would be useful to add some tutorial presets like this. Simple PWM and FM examples, etc. No frills or FX, just learning tools or basis for tweaking for the less adventurous.
Nice selection of OSCs, nice selection of Filters, nice ENVs (so many thanks for the curves!), nice FX section. Yep, this is nice. :p
Simple not overwhelming layout, yet if you scratch the surface you can see new worlds in front of you.
Will C2 be updated at some point or should we take C3 as a hint as to never go back? I wouldn't say no to a Linux port, CLAP support, etc... Time and dev chain permitting, obviously.

Great sound and no obvious problems here so far!

A few feature requests:

# tooltips for nondescriptive buttons (eg "D" and the one with the bar graph in the oscillator section, or some of the buttons in the FX section)
# allow mousewheel support to change values
# allow input of numerical values from keyboard
# allow change of order of FX per drag (eg EQ in front of distortion module)
# visualize parameter modulation (eg when the LFO affects the cutoff frequency - but only if these kind of visual aids don't tax the CPU / performance too much)

Can confirm that, also with filter 1. Play a note, tweak the filter -> instacrash in Studio One 4 Pro on Windows 11.

Easy to replicate: Open an instance of Charlatan 3, play a note, tweak the filter frequency -> crash.

P.S.: Doesn't happen in Savihost3 for some reason.
