Interesting fact I've noticed, not sure why but RayBlaster is one of those synths I rarely turn off the FX to use the external plugins I own instead. The delay, the reverb and the phaser algos in particular works so well with the synth, they really gel together like alot of others synths don't, therefore I prefer using my external FX plugins.
The only downside is that I would've really liked there to be more than two FX slots so I could use more of them. They make the overall synth sounds so cohesive. Two more FX slots in a future update? maybe?

It's funny that the Tone2 website lists RayBlaster as its most CPU-intense synth (I'm assuming that means with normal-ish settings and not like Icarus with maxed out unison) but even on my 5 year old MacBook Pro, RayBlaster barely uses anything at all. If I call up any synth released in the last couple of years, they can easily use 5x-10x the amount of CPU per voice. All of the Tone2 synths are crazy low CPU by modern standards.
It's also great that Tone2 still supports old OS versions. I don't like to upgrade my music production machines' OS version once I've got it set up and working, since it tends to create more problems than it solves.

You are right. The texts on website need an update. What was 'average' or 'low CPU' demand in the past is now 'very low CPU demand' these days.

New! RayBlaster 3.5

- More precise layout of the small knobs and various GUI elements.
- Better default settings for the init patch.
- Better default parameters for various effects.
