Oh yeah, I do agree with that assessment. It does sort of slip into a mix in a way where melts int the nooks and crannies.chagzuki wrote: Sun Nov 05, 2023 5:38 pmI was saying that the soundstage it and most (stereo) reverbs create is more like a picture in front of the listener, rather than an immersive ambience. CRP seems to me to sort of melt into the source, and due to its smoothness recede away.zerocrossing wrote: Sun Nov 05, 2023 5:16 pm I personally feel like Cinematic Rooms Pro is the nicest sounding digital reverb I’ve ever heard, including hardware. I totally disagree that it sticks out as a separate element in a mix.

Despite some shills for other reverbs here:
QRS is an exceptional designed, unique and quite usable reverb.
Just sayin'...

Mr Mini-Want-Whiney here:) The question is why implement that kind of demo when there are better alternatives/solutions.martinjuenke wrote: Sun Nov 05, 2023 2:49 pmPeople love to whine and are actively seeking reasons to complain in public.briefcasemanx wrote: Sun Nov 05, 2023 2:08 pm Crazy to me that people somehow can't hear what a plugin is doing because it cuts out or has white noise. I've never ever had a problem telling if a plugin sounds good and is worth buying because it cut out once in awhile.
It's called the Mini-Want-To-Whiney Complex.![]()
I’m happy for all those who don’t find it irritating and maybe my OCD is to blame, but it bugs the hell out of me when the trial cuts out. We all have our foibles, I for one love Marmite:)
Oh! And the ‘actively seeking…’ comment is way off here. I do not need to exorcise my subconscious frustrations in public. Maybe, just maybe there’s a legitimate reason for the critique. And maybe this kind of broad brush statement says something
about you and the fact that you are dragging legitimate points of view through the mud than the context in which my complaints - and some others - were made.
Anyway! The reverb is nice:)

I prefer the cutting out vs. a 1-2 week demo - sometimes I don't get hooked by a plugin right away but I keep it installed and play with it every now and find a use for it. If my demo was expired I'd never come back to it.

I hate demos with a limited trial period, because they always leave stuff behind that you can never get rid of. There's a bunch of expired trials I have hidden in my iLok account. Those are the worst. I won't even install them anymore.

This is not likely to happen to me since the link on the savantaudiolabs website to access the demo version is still inaccessible to me.
I wrote to them but no response: on the other hand, to buy it immediately, it reacts normally _

For those complaining about the demo noises, keep in mind: the full version of the plugin has no DRM at all. Makes the demo restriction a lot more forgivable.

With the QRS in general, if it is sounding a bit metallic on a source, try sizing up to a larger room size than you would think and lower the reverb time. The larger the room size, the more even and uniformly distributed the resonances are.jamcat wrote: Sun Nov 05, 2023 2:30 am QRS has an interesting stereo field of depth to it.
But it's also really really metallic and resonant.
It can sound a lot cleaner than a 224, for example, but those resonances can really be overwhelming.
