No idea why it does!
So, with it's release, is SynthMaster 3 the new reigning Super Synth?

Which plugin ?audiojunkie wrote: Fri Sep 06, 2024 2:57 pm How are the oscillators and filters in SM3, compared to some of the plugins known for great oscillators and filters?
The granular is pretty good, cpu friendly
The weakest area the effect. Rapid, Spire sound way better to my taste

It just has more parameters to shape the sound, different windows shapes, different synchronisation options... Maybe even too many parameters. Bear in mind, I don't actually use Phase Plant anymore, you've won me over

The devs of SM3 work hard for this version so i wish them success.
In the past -for various reasons- i made my decision, and sold my SM2.
I'm happy with other big name products like Zebra, Avenger, Omnisphere ...

I tried SM1 and 2 but didn't continue to use them for long. SM3 is so much better, I'm really impressed. I find it very fast to get to a great sound with a surprisingly intuitive workflow. It feels snappy and efficient...and enjoyable to use. The filters and overall sound is excellent. Bargain at the current price which includes 3 exp's + SM2 (for the legacy presets)...and an additional 20% off if you try the demo.

I finally got around to doing a demo, and so far I have been really impressed. The filter distortion is really good and clean if you crank up the quality settings. Not many plugins do that well. I’ll definitely upgrade.

I already have.

I'm more of a one-trick pony guy. Get me a plugin that does one job really well.

I love simple focused plugins/synths as well.sQeetz wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2024 5:31 am I'm more of a one-trick pony guy. Get me a plugin that does one job really well.

One of the only things it doesn’t have compared to others is a drum sequencer.
I like to setup up my own drums in Battery or Addictive Drums, but it may be useful for some users to have.
You could use the multiple layers for a drum part, but that can get complicated versus having it within its own sequencer.

Yes that was my idea to turn a single preset into a drum machine, since you can have up to 16 layers. To simplify editing the "drum sequence", I might add 2 things:
1. MIDI import for drum MIDIs -> this will import individual notes (percussion instruments) in the MIDI file to each layer's sequencer.
2. A new dialog window to edit drum sequences: In this dialog, you actually edit the sequencers of multiple layers in a single screen to speed up the workflow.

I find both types to be useful in different situations. If I need a basic synth pad, I’m most likely not going to open up Synthmaster, or really any other super-synth to get it done, but there are times when I want something that is complex or uses different types of synthesis in a single patch. I probably could use a bunch of one-trick ponies and layer them, but having everything at my fingertips in a single UI is a better work-flow for me.sQeetz wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2024 5:31 am I'm more of a one-trick pony guy. I guess you could just have the basic samples in one layer as a multi-sample setup (snare, hi hat, kick drum, etc) so only that one layer is used.kv331 wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2024 4:19 pmHi Rob,Examigan wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2024 11:49 am You could use the multiple layers for a drum part, but that can get complicated versus having it within its own sequencer.
