It's not like Supermodal, which has all those different models.

They can't be "set" as such.
You have resonance (sustain), damping, detune and a frequency shifter in the resonator.
Metallic sound come easy to it, bells are relatively easy if you use the sideband module, wooden sounds take a bit more work but generally involve using a low pass filter.
Every module is pretty deep. The distortion module can do a lot. The fractal squares setting can give you a lot of very noisy content. It also has a bias control so you can get that kind of broken transistor sound and feedback for even more madness.
It's worth spending time with each module. Even the delay at very short settings with high feedback can be yet another source of sound generation.
In the demo of the drum above I used the resonator with notes grouped around a fundamental into the sidebands for slight frequency shifting then into a saturator and then a low pass filter.
Then the various elements are mixed together at the output.

thanks - I am playing around with the demo but so far I think I have so many other FX that I will not get it.kraster wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 10:24 amsandandpaint wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 9:39 amoften resonators can be set to various materials like glass/bells/metal plates/wood etc Do the resonators in Synestia have that sort of variability? Does anyone know if the developer plans to add polyphonic midi playability to the resonator? That would get me to purchase…

This thing looks deadly. Is there any discount if you have Plasmonic? It sounds incredible just going on some of the youtubes I''ve found of it in action. Well done to Mr. Clevinger.

Would like to see the addition of granular and convolution capabilities
If less is more, imagine how much more MORE will be.
