This year as my Christmas gift to me (I was mostly good), I got Slice, Frahm, and Recurse from Lese. They're a really good example of plugins that do interesting things, but don't have so many functions that they become bloated.

I also got Mixwave's JHS Loud Is More Good bundle. The amp itself isn't quite my cup-a, but the pedals are all super great.

...and Lofinity from United Plugins. Nothing super ground-breaking, but it's a nice cluster of lo-fi effects in a single package with a master control.
Lastly, I was part of the IK group buy and I picked up a ton of great T-Racks effects from them for little money. Their service generally sucks, but it's mostly not necessary and if you wait for a group buy or sale, the plugins are high quality and cheap.

New to me is the free “Magic 7” reverb that has convolution based presets of the Bricasti hardware reverb.
Even though it’s sometimes limiting to not be able to tweak the decay time of the preset, the amazing sound makes it worth it IMO.
The preset menu has thoughtful touches like listing the decay times in the preset names, and grouping the presets into their different categories (based on how the hardware does it, I assume)
