Considering that, sure Muzys would have gotten even more votes if they were in the poll. They left all platforms!Caleb wrote:Maybe their leaving the PC platform is what's getting them the votes.sicklecell666 wrote:And considering this is a pc-centric community, you guys are weaklings & cowards for choosing Apple/E-magic..They left the PC platform so long ago they shouldn't even be on the list

You could be right there. Of course there was a more than just a small hint of a return though. No such hint from Emapple.
Don't think I'd call Muzys one of the big developers though.

WilliamK,
You are absolutely one of the top developers out there. I have found you to be earnest and humble, a man who is genuinely interested in his product and helpful to his customers. Like anybody, you'd like to make some money at it, but you've never gouged anyone-- in fact, I think your stuff is worth MORE than the asking price!
Don't sweat one voice of dissent. There's a whole chorus of happy customers behind you.
Greg

I think you are a much better developer now. I must confess, I hated the da synths, and disliked dash in general, but Wusik has me converted. I was skeptical, but now I use it in almost everything, so I don't see what's wrong with it either. It's been so good that I don't need support, but I'm sure that's good too. Sorry to down your older stuff, but Wusik is SO much better. Thanks for a great product, oh, and Imageline is nice to you if you're nice to them. They're really good actually. Sugar works better than vinegar. Say whatever you want, it wont change my mind. Fruity rulez, and so does Wusik.Lunch Money wrote:WilliamK,

Every dev has up and down days, large ones and small. That said, I voted for Emapple as I used to be a happy Logic PC user.. got the Logic/EXS24 bundle when it came out for the PC.. and then the company sold out to Apple to get, as far as I can tell, a quick buck for the owners. Screwing over thousands of users takes top place for "developers that should be fed to wild hogs".
I live about four miles from Apple headquarters, maybe I should drive over and shout obscenities at 'em, I'd feel a lot better afterwards! It's been ages since I moved on to a different host but I'm still pissed off!

You don't have my two "favorites"
on the list either;
AAS for their wonderful support of Tassman 2 and 3 users, and
Bitheadz for the way they left ALL their customers high and dry...

Another vote for Steinberg.
In the past, I have bought many Steinberg (and Wizoo) VSTi's, only to have poor support, lack of updates with extremely finicky software, and a marketing scheme of promising expansion modules/content for some of their products but never delivering.
Steinberg seems to develop/market (or have a third-party develop) a new product only to let it die an agonizing death due to a lack of commitment to providing support.

I forgot about Applied-Acoustics and BitHeadz. Definitely should have been on the list.

Beside the atrocity that was Phrazer, THAT alone should have made them #1!ew wrote: Bitheadz for the way they left ALL their customers high and dry...

BTW, of course Apple and Steinberg get the most hits. Kind of shooting fish in a barrel don't you think?

hahahha... I remember that. This whole VST thing is like a soap opera. It's funny how some of us have known each other for so long, and remember this kindof stuff. I love it!!!!think the gong has to go to Jason of !JDevelopment!. Great products and strangely good support [he did a special version of Rebel just for us ORION users] but then he as a brain-spasm and goes right off the deep-end, never to be heard of again.
WilliamK,
You are awesome. I remember when you totally helped me out with some infinity and reaktor patches cause I was on the fence. You are top notch. I couldn't get in the group buy cuz I've been so broke lately
RGC...good stuff and good support
ttoz...You're pretty f**king cool yourself, glad to see your back on a PC
I've always had a soft spot in my heart for Mike from ReFX
