I don't use Synthedit myself but I certainly profit greatly from its existence.

ahh yes, but jeff doesnt strictly release plugins
but sure the guy ROCKS BIG TIME.

forgot, they also came up with ASIO, for me its got to be Steinberg on those terms, otherwise its NI for their consistent high standards (sure there will be plenty of people who disagree but their stuff works well for me)

anyway i couldn't vote..cause there are several developers in my heart.....
jorgen (eXT), jorge (SynthMaker), jeff (SynthEdit),jules (rawmaterial),
all the guys at smex (andreas, bram, magnus, koen, antti, dmi, etc...),seb and david (plogue) the whole freeware and se community developers, william (wusik), rene (rgcaudio), george (discodsp), ben (cameleon),tobybear, too many to name them all!!!
...in fact the biggests are the worst (emapple and company)

...not the developers...but the marketing structures...
in fact i love developers (people with passion and creativity) and i don't like marketing yuppies (people that want to rule the world)

I'm with Jaybez, the prize has to go to Steinberg for VST's, VSTI's and ASIO and making that technologie available to everybody.
