String action is fantastic, especially the high E string is really screaming (something you won't find on most strats for instance), Buzzy Feiten tuning seems to show its merits on semi driven chords as well, further it's doing a good all around job, but there's quite some things I just don't like, both from a personal and a technical point of view.
Shielding is less than lousy (read: close to non existant), PU switches are not as good as a stock 5-way switch (still need to get one in there) and the PUs in single coil mode are QUITE noisy. Also Grover locking nuts are shit, Sperzels are WAY better IMO.
But the most important thing would happen to be the lack of real character. You know, when you play with some rotten strat, tele or the likes, they require you to actually FIGHT for the tone. Which only seems to be annoying when you get some random job done. Once it's seriously about making music, you start to like such personality.
Just like, say, a sampled/virtual Rhodes vs the real deal. For live performance the true thing still wins for most players.
Anyways, I sort of love the Anderson though, playing just feels good. Should finally modify a few things though.
